Excellent service
Dr. Cooper and staff treated me with friendly professionalism.
After having orthoscopic done by another doctor and ending up with a staff infection I was hesitant to have complete knee replacement done. A nurse with Morton Plant who has been a lifelong friend recommended Dr. Cooper. After an initial consultation with him I had my left knee replaced by Dr. Cooper in July 2018 and walked out of the hospital with a cane the following day. He is extremely thorough in his explanation of the surgery and an extremely talented surgeon. I will be asking him to do my other knee shortly. There simply arent enough words to describe how happy I am since he replaced my knee.
Most excellent care. Highly recommend Dr. Cooper.
Dr. Cooper lives up to his nickname of Super Cooper. I had my Total Knee Replacement on 1212021. I had 5 days of PT at which time I was meeting the criteria of 125 degrees and 0. At my 2nd appointment Dr. Cooper said I dont need to return for another year for a check up. My PT was at home as specified by Dr. Cooper. I was only in the hospital overnight. This was my second TKR but my first in Florida with Dr. Cooper. I would recommend him to anyone wanting the best surgeon for knee replacements. Of course my husband is scheduled for his 1st TKR on May 13th. Pay backs are heck...LOL.
I had anterior hip replacement surgery with Dr. Cooper several years ago. After my surgery I complained that it still hurt to raise my leg. I had to lift it with both hands to get into a car and I was unable to do a leg lift. At my threemonth and oneyear check ups the doctor told me that people heal at different rates and not to worry about it. I am a thin active person so this was very disconcerting to me. I was sure something was wrong. After I moved to the Charlotte area I went to another surgeon who was able to take a few xrays and diagnose me immediately with an iliopsoas impingement. The cup of my implant protrudes slightly and is cutting into the tendon every time I raise my leg. There are two options for correcting the problem impingement release surgery or another total hip replacement. The doctor suggested that I just live with it. I have had to give up yoga and pilates because it hurts too much to raise my leg. I sent Dr. Coopers office an email about the diagnosis but never heard from anyone. Apparently a hip impingement is more common when the anterior method is used. Nerve damage is also more commonand I am unfortunately suffering with that as well. I would not recommend the anterior method. People I know whove had the lateral approach seem to fare much better. What disturbs me most is that Dr. Coopers office must have known what my problem was from the very beginningbut they wouldnt tell me. They let me suffer and obviously didnt care.
Had Total Knee Replacement Dr Cooper is super office and hospital staff are great. Office surgery scheduler could use more help busy without enough hours in the day. Home PT very knowledgeable patient and caring. Planning for the second knee can’t wait.
Saw Dr.Cooper for the first time today. He was great Very friendly and efficient. Was still very thorough in his assessment of my knee injury and laid out a treatment plan for me that seems promising. Can’t wait for my followup
Dr. Cooper has been my orthopaedic surgeon for 10.5 years. I severely injured my knee on the job and he was the surgeon who Workers Comp sent me to. He was fantastic. He not only did a great job on my surgery but put me on a physical therapy program that resulted in my being able to return to work four months later. I was able to continue working for two more years until I retired. I have continued to see him once each year under Workers Comp and he and his PA Paul Fitzpatrick have done a marvelous job of managing my care. The office staff has always done a good job of handling the administrative matters. Because of my experience my wife had both of her knee replacements done by Dr. Cooper with outstanding results and we have recommended him to several other people. I cant speak highly enough of his skill and expertise.
Just got home from my total knee replacement surgery ~ I am extremely pleased with my surgery and all aspects leading up to it. The professionalism of the entire staff made my experience stress free. The Prehab plan was excellent and easy to follow. My rehab equipment was delivered prior to surgery already using. I am going to have to name my new knee “Super Coop”

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
