Joshua B. Kaplan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Kaplan took such good care of me and my husband as we visited Bardmoor location emergency room. We thought we had covid because of eye issues and he was the DR assigned to us. We couldnt have gotten better medical care anywhere he is wonderful. Thorough calming and talked in terms we could understand. WE felt he really cared for both of us like family.

Dr. Kaplan is absolutely the best. He cared for me and my husband two days ago when we had a scare of covid which we did test positive for. He was so calming for us so informative thorough and explained things so us nonmedical field people could understand. He is the best if you get him in an Emergency room you are in the best hands possible.

Dr. Kaplan saw my son in a freestanding ER and diagnosed quickly that he was in a very critical condition and needed immediate life saving surgery. Due to his quick actions in consulting and transferring to Morton Plant my son made it through the surgery although is still very critical. I will never be able to thank him or his team enough for acting so quickly and also his concern that I made it to ER to see my son before his transfer.

Now that Merlin is gone and lord knows I love her but the office is getting much better in the wait time before the office visits were no less than 3 hrs now we can in in good time that’s just to see the doctor. It’s true he doesn’t remember from time to time what is going on so I have my notes and refresh his memory. A lot of times I think it is time for him to retire really.. back to the front desk person the new person he has would not send in an RX because she says “she doesn’t do that”.. that’s what they DO She assists the doctor or at least delegates the task to the nurse. Before he hired people which was long overdue he had only him and Merlin at the time. We were going to leave because of this. Now that he’s hired people he’s under investigation with us. I am trying to find another geriatrician in Naples. Be prepared for a lot of work on your end if you see this doctor for your care plan. Also there is nothing wrong with my mother other than the problems that can’t be fixed...she feels good yet he INSISTS on monthly appts. nothing new is done yet he still wants to see her. Is he draining medicare? I don’t know. I probably should stop now.

I cant believe that this physician has any positive reviews unless his office staff write reviews for him . I went to see him with my 80 years old mom who he have seen her several times before. He couldnt remember anything about her . he didnt even care to review her charts before entering the room with a blank face and again he gave us the runaround as he has no idea whats going now with her and he seemed not even interested to make the efforts to investigate more.

Dr. Kaplan is one the smartest physicians I have ever known and an incredible diagnostician.

Amazing this doctor is still in practice. He certainly has focus ans attention but the do not match those of the patient. He talks down to the patient he is cold and doesnt appear to be very caring. Not my preference for health care.
