I was recently diagnosed with cancer and had surgery he was very thorough in explaining everything to me and my husband. His office staff was very nice. He eased my fears about surgery. He was also very nice and professional.

Dr. Kayatta inherited me as a patient in a convergence of circumstances that put me in dire need of his services in Morton Plant Thoracic Surgery. In a simple phrase Dr. Kayatta saved my left lung and saved my life. It doesnt get any better than that. I knew Morton Plant was an excellent medical center and hospital and I knew that the nursing staff was well rated nationally. I did not know that Morton Plant the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Department and Cardiovascular Thoracic Critical Care Unit were world class until I received the caring professionally astute and life changing care I had as a patient. I am confident if I were to need additional intense thorough and profound care Dr. Kayatta and the Nursing Staff of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and of Morton Plant Hospital would provide superb care again to me. I am also sure that the same high quality and standard of care would be available to anyone else who would need world class care or who would seek it out. I was thankfully in the right place at the right time when I needed Dr. Kayatta and his team.

Dr. Kayatta was called in to perform an emergency aortic dissection repair on my 28 year old son. He and the team did an 8 hour surgery and were able to save my son and although he was improving post op complications set in on day 8 and my son passed away. Dr. Kayatta is a truly compassionate and yet professional provider and we were blessed to have my son in his care.

My husband was recently treated by Dr Kayatta at the Morgan Heart Hospital. Dr Kayatta offered a thorough explanation of what to expect before during and after the valve replacement. The procedure was a success thanks to the excellent care provided by Dr Kayatta and his staff. The care and compassion exemplified by Dr Kayatta throughout my husband’s stay provided comforting reassurance during a difficult time.
