Dr. Robert H. Chu is just the best eye doctorsurgeon in the area. He is a great and highly skilled surgeon having removed my cataract and superbly performed my multifocal implants through laser surgery. Dr. Chu runs a tight ship so to speak in that his staff and technicians are all outstanding efficientprofessional like clockwork with great rapport and compassion for uptight patients like me. I went through a thorough eye exam with their high tech equipment and all and they were conducted so expertly and comfortably by his staff technicians. I could not be happier with Dr. Chu and his whole office staff.

Ive gone here for a few years. Theyre professional and the female doctor that I see is always cheerful knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this office.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Robert Chu for many years.  I recently underwent cataract surgery on both eyes.  I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism of both Dr. Chu and his staff.  Dr. Chu began with clearly and patiently explaining my options.  He thoroughly answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with my decision to proceed.  I can see clearly now

I would give a zero if it is an option.  The office was disorganized.  Even during this COVID time the waiting room had more than 10 patients and the front office did not ask for any COVID screening questionnaire from patients.    No previsit screening or any other measures.  The office staff didnt  seem to care.  The front desk area was crowded and the testing areas were also crowded.  The cleaning after each patient was not thorough.  And the wait to be seen was long which was not acceptable during COVID time.  This is the worst medical practice I have visited since COVID.  No screening measures taken.  The doctor was standoffish and didnt listen or care about patients.  He treated patients like we were idiots.  His treatment plan failed but he didnt care to admit and just argued.  He and his team are simply incompetent.  DO NOT RECOMMEND.

If you are told by Dr. Chu you need cataract surgery my advice would be to get a second opinion.  I did and I didnt need the surgery.

I found Dr. Chu on Yelp when I moved to the area.   I chose him based on the reviews and have not been disappointed.    I have bad eyes and one thing I love about his office is that he has a machine that can look at my long eyeball without being dialated.    They immediately found the spot my previous doctor was watching and he put me at ease on what he was seeing.     This is great...a peace of mind in his skills and knowledge and not having to walk around for hours with two pairs of sunglasses on.I also had a cataract replacement and am very happy with the outcome of the surgery and lens replacement.  The surgery was a surprisingly nonstressful experience.   I felt that the people at the surgery center were very patientfocused and they worked very hard to put me at ease.    Dr.Chu also has an exceptionally calm demeanor and excellent presence during and after the surgery.  I would highly recommend Dr.Chu for anyone who needs a cataract replacement.

I spent I spent a lot of time wondering why I go to my eye doctor every year and every year my glasses creep up two more started at 200 started it then 300400 it got to be near $600 a year for glasses I could barely afford them so I decided to go to to three different eye doctors and and paid out of pocket to form my own opinion of these doctors every last one of them gave me a different diagnosis a reason the glasses I had to keep bringing back to be redone cuz I couldnt see out of them after 3 months of getting them then I went to Dr. Chus office recommended by another patient it took me a year to decide to use. Dr. Chu but I eventually made an appointment went in to see this doctor and he immediately change my glasses prescription and examine my eyes real thoroughly I ended up not needing glasses and eventually after 2 years of visiting him I did have to have cataract surgery which he was fantastic the job was fantastic I just had the surgery in October 2018 and Im pretty satisfied seems to be working great I can actually see words on papers. I am very satisfied with the care that I got from dr. Chu and his staff and I would recommend him to anyone whos having problems with their glasses cant see need to have the eye surgery he is the best and I have recommended him to several people and they were happy that I didThank you Dr Chu.

Before seeing Dr. Chu my husband had been on a variety of medications amp had multiple retina shots. Not only did Dr. Chu assure us that he would try to reduce the amount of medication my husband takes his knowledge and gentle care caused his eyesight and pressure to be almost normal. Ive recommended Dr Chu endlessly. His humble manner insight and knowhow have made us permanent patients.

Ive been seeing Dr. Chu for more than 20 years. My teen daughters and my husband also see him. Dr. Chu and his staff are wonderful nice knowledgable and patient with all patients. Ive recommended Dr. Chu to several friends and co workers in MoCo who now see him and are very happy.
