Amit Varma's Online Review Report Card

Great friendly staff and Dr. Varma is an amazing dr. He did my right shoulder on two different occasions and both times surgery was successful.

I miss Dr. Varma. We moved back to Birmingham and we miss him terribly. He truly cares about his patients and does what is best for them, not just for the sake of a procedure. He injected my knees and they were good for a few years before giving me problems again. He’s a good man and an excellent doctor and there aren’t many doctors who spend time and work on healing rather than fixes.

Very professional and caring staff. The doctor is very attentive, caring and knowledgeable. He took care of our disabled mom's injury immediately and was very communicative with us, even calling from his cell phone to follow up. We are very appreciative and would highly recommend him!

Worst office service ever. Is so hard to reach out to them, when finally they pick up the phone, the first question I asked her was if they accept my insurance, she said yes and I spend 35 min on the phone to book my appointment, providing all My personal information. Then she told me I had to get my primary Dr. to fax the Refferal to them since they don’t accept physical documents. They called me two weeks later to inform me they don’t take that insurance no more. I asked her since when they knew this information, she said four months ago. That was very rude, poor knowledge and really unprofessional. I’m very upset since they are playing with patients needs and pain. If they could’ve call me two weeks ago I could’ve find another orthopedic and avoid waisting more time for my health.

Kenneth and Adlene Hanoman i thank you GOD and Dr Varma I don’t think this a miracle my wife and I on different dates walk in with pain and after a few hours we were walking on lake Minneola trail GOD BLESS him I could not step on my heal. My Wife like to walk she could not make it home her knee gave out a Doctor at south hospital told us about this great gift from GOD Dr Amit Varma Great Job GOD BLESS

I think Dr. Varma is the best! He listened to every question you had and he was never in a hurry for you even though he had plenty of patients waiting in the waiting room. My husband who needs knee surgery is going back to have Dr. Varma to do it

Waited 1 and a half hours. Waiting room had 12 or more patient s all the time. The only one who introduced themselves was the x-ray tech. Dr. spent less than 5 minutes, no mask, stood in corner, prescribed a med that was obvious he never looked at my chart. A total waste of time and gas. Very disappointed.

Worst doctors office, was suggested to us by the ER. We got checked in waited over an hour to see the doctor only to be told they had to refer my son to another doctor because of where the break in his wrist is. Let me tell you the 1st doctor didn't even look at the Xray because the other doctor we were referred to said it wasn't that bad of a break, he didn't even put him in a cast, just a really good fitting brace. Don't waste your time or money with this incompetent office.

Several years ago I fell & broke my shoulder in 2 places. The hospital took xrays & put my arm in a sling but said they couldn't do the surgery I needed because no one would take Medicaid that I had at that time. We called ALL over Volusia & Lake county, til we found Dr. Varma (9 or 10 days after I fell) & he told my daughter to bring me in. He then sent me to South Lake hospital where I was admitted on a Thursday afternoon & had surgery on Sat. morning. He's my hero!
