List of David L Allyn's Reviews
BE AWARE of something before you consider this facility. They have not treated me with urgency after numerous talk about two spots on my body became bothersome two years ago.Now I have BCC, Basal Cell Carcinoma A form of cancer. They didn’t have the decency to check my biopsy results, sitting on this news for several weeks. I am appalled and angry about how all of this was handled. If you’re looking for a staff and doctors who have your best interest at heart, stay far far away.
I was so nervous after reading some of the reviews but I just had my appointment and I’m so confused. The staff was wonderful, super friendly, quick, and really helpful. The doctor listened while I explained what was going on and prescribed something to help right away. He didn’t seemed odd in a negative way, just quirky and helpful. I was really happy with my visit!
After reading all of the reviews I felt compelled to write a review. I have been going to Dr Allyn for at least 18 yrs. Two yrs ago I had , what was being treated by my primary, an ant bite that went rogue, and I saw a PA who immediately said it was skin cancer. She did a biopsy in office, and the lab called her back in 3 days to tell me to see a dermatologist asap. Dr. Allyn was expecting to see a small squamous growth on my hand, but as he examined it, he became very concerned. It ended up being very deep, fast growing cancer into my fingers and hand. Right then and there, he did a skin graph, and he did 2 hrs of surgery, checking margins to make sure he got it all. It's been over 2 yrs now. No evidence of cancer and hand has healed better than I would expect. Dr. Allyn is good, and I will continue to recommend him and use him!
I personally recommenr Dr. Allyn, a very good Doctor.
David has to be the worst dermatologist in Florida. His license should be revoked. Place is visually gorgeous. The receptionists may be the only light in this tunnel. Everything else....terrible. I went in for a mole and wart removal. The mole on my head and wart on my finger.Wait time was an hour and a half for a 10 minute procedure. Like most these other comments say, he came in with a few other nurse aids or whatever you'd like to call them. Without asking me a single question other than a small greeting, he begins to eye me up and down in a very off putting manner. Then proceeds to lift my shirt to check my front torso and then checks my back (I assume for other markings). Again hasn't really said anything at all. He then instructed 1 of the 3 aids to take a picture with a tablet of the mole. After asking her he then proceeds to demand her to, "do it fast, now." Seemed rude and condescending by his voice. Nonetheless, we carried on. As he was preparing I asked a simple question. "What is a mole?" Which he then answered like a child would. "Well, it's just a mole." Now from anyone else I can understand that answer, but a doctor? After I proceeded to but more descriptive words to see if he was not understanding my question. "Well what is it actually? Is it something calcified or a cluster of some sort?" Again a answer that lead nowhere..."well, it's kinda just like a mole." By this point I was in disbelief that a "medical professional" couldn't answer a simple question about something in his specialty. My mother happened to tag along in this trip and she also asked a question and was blown off by a useless answer as well. After the questions and stupid answers he prompts me I will feel a small pain. Probably the most accurate thing he told me. I felt the numbing agent kick in and he begins cutting the mole out and scraping excess. After his procedure he quickly left the room having an aid place a bandage on the way out. Never saw him again. What I assume is a nurse came in after and quickly froze my wart and told me to pick up medication from the pharmacy. She was ok, at least she actually talked like a normal human would.Never have I received such bland and shady care before this place. This establishment is a waste of your money and time. GO ELSEWHERE.
My wife went for an appointment and they tried to make her overpay. Our insurance card clearly says $50 copay and you asked her to pay $65. Very fraudulent. Stay away from this business. Incompetence abounds.
great...does not over diagnosis and does NOT do unneeded biopsies. staff long term with him and that speaks volumes!
Made an appt here for my husband to have a cyst looked at on the side of his temple. Wait time was a little excessive. The doctor came in with several trainees (I’m assuming) was in there literally less than several minutes. He didn’t ask questions nor did he really explain anything. He was very odd as mentioned in other comments. We weren’t given a chance to ask any questions & told us to stop at the front to discuss surgery. I’ve been waiting to hear back from the scheduler for several months now. I’ve called & left numerous messages..NOBODY has yet to call us back regarding the insurance & what we need to do and/or pay to schedule the removal. I guess it’s a good thing.. why would we trust this practice with a procedure when they don’t even want to do their job in the first place. I am now looking up other doctors in the area for the same matter. Just wish we wouldn’t have wasted our time & co pay here for nothing!
Two basal removals. Practically no scar. Very nice doctor who takes time to inform you
Dr. Allyns approach to medicine is both consultative and family oriented. My family and I have been visiting his practice for many years now and he never ceases to go above and beyond. He always makes sure that I am comfortable and well taken care of. Every procedure or exam is done with a gentle approach. His right hand man, Frankie, is the sweetest nurse ever! I would recommend Dr.Allyn and his method of care to anyone!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
