Orlando Health South Lake Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Absolutely zero stars. It is my belief that this hospitals lack of care and concern for their patients was the result of mother's death. This hospital did nothing to try to help save her life nor did they care for her when she was in the hospital. Nurses and Doctors came into her room rarely (if ever) and only to tell her she wasn't going to make it. I received countless phone calls from my mom informing me of them dooming her to death and not helping her when she needed them. It was an unexplainable abomination of an experience resulting in the death of my mom. I cannot express enough thanks to the team that gave exceptional care to me before, during and after the birth of our daughter. From the volunteer at check-in, to the last nurse that walked us out to our car. The doctors were also wonderful and my husband and I cannot be more thankful for the care we received.Thanks again South Lake Hospital Labor & Delivery Team!

Worst ER experience the way they treat children

South Lake Endoscopy Center. This was a wonderful experience. The staff and facility was great. They treated me like family with competent , professional and efficient. I thank all the staff and physicians!

Delivered my daughter here and had an amazing experience. All the on call care nurses were very nice and extremely helpful. I am so glad I chose this hospital over Winnie palmer. Even my husband was blown away about how easy everything was and how attentive the employees are.

This was the most horrendous and dehumanizing experience of my life. While I fought for my life. I was treated as a second class citizen with the plague by a nurse assistant. After alerting via the call light that I had used the bedside toilet, the NA came in, threw a mask at me to put on (while on oxygen) and then proceeded to pour mouthwash into the toilet due to the odor. Its covid diarrhea. What do you expect. It seems like they had no idea what was happening from one shift to the next. Every nurse that entered my room said they didn't work in this area and it was "wild" out there. I had nurses forget to bring me meds, leave me waiting to go to the beside commode for over an hour, didn't help me wash my hands but expected me to eat with my dirty hands. My son had to ask them to help clean me up and change me. They allowed me to lay in my own urine for 24 hrs as I was placed on bed rest and not allowed to get up to even use the beside toilet. They left IV med bads hanging for days after the meds had been administered. There were tags that said change on Sunday. Sunday came and went, the tubes and bags not changed. My own doctor assigned to me was unaware of my treatment status in regards to the antiviral meds. I was sent home on oxygen with no end game plan and for the ride home from the hospital, they didn't even turn the portable oxygen tank on, so 30 minutes ride home struggling to breathe and had no idea why.... complete cluster. By the grace of God and the prayers of my family and friends, I live to talk about this experience and will make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

This hospital is awful. The SUPERVISING doctor told me and my son we had to leave because “they needed the bed” I was given 2 different Diagnosis by 2 different doctors. Then the supervising doctor basically told me that she has no idea what’s wrong with my son and to come back if he gets worse. Mind you I was there because he had already gotten worse. He also spiked a fever while there and no one seemed to care. I will never bring my son or any members of my family to this hospital.

I came in today with my kids they were sick the lady came to the front to say we are not doing Covid tests you have to go somewhere else I told her I didn’t ask for a Covid test that my kids were sick then I saw her walking around with the attitude of mumbling stuff under her breath like she was having a bad day she was rude I called later got the operator trying to get the results of the operator was very rude she didn’t even say she was transferring me or anything just transferred me to someone else rude people it’s enough going on with the virus and everything in the world and the lady at ER made me feel like they didn’t want to help me Even asked her if I can get some tissues for my kids nose or is there a bathroom because she already had an attitude she’s like the bathrooms right there I got to the back someone gave us a box of tissues she was just rude and had attitude

Great hospital, I had heart attack, and Legs bypass, the nurses and doctors in my experience are fantastic and knowledgeable and further more are very nice. Clean place i would recommend this South Lake Hospital to anyone
