My recent visit to Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, in Clermont was a very abysmal one. From the onset, I was advised of the importance of this doctors time. I expressed a couple of areas of concern, but was quickly informed that I would likely need to schedule follow-up appointments due to, the limited time that the doctor had for patients. When the doctor enter the room, she failed to introduce herself or the other individual who was present with her. She took a quick glance at my area of concern before advising that it was nothing to be concerned over as it was not cancerous. My follow-up response was asking the doctor how she knew it was not cancerous. She promptly retorted, “ because I went to school for 12 years!” While I applaud her on her accomplishments, I do believe that there was a missed opportunity to educate me on how the diagnosis was made and why there was no reason to be concerned.
