List of Aliza Lipson's Reviews
My daughter is a recent college graduate and she had been feeling awful for months. She was diagnosed with Lupus by Dr. Lipson. My daughter was so upset and very depressed. Dr. Lipson gave my daughter the biggest hug and told her she would be ok and to fight Lupus with all her strength. Dr. Lipson is an awesome doctor and I thank her for showing her so much love and compassion.
I've been a patient of Dr. Lipson's since 2016, and each visit has progressively reflected her nonchalant and uncaring attitude. She doesn't listen to what you tell her about how you're feeling, or she'll simply "brush off" your symptoms. In addition, she never came to see me while I was hospitalized for two weeks, and didn't give a reason why when I had my follow-up visit with her. She even went so far as to insinuate that my hospitalization and current health status are not major concerns..
Has terrible bedside manners, does not listen, does not seem to comprehend messages well, rushes the visits, will not prescribe you anything for symptoms she can treat but refuses, and is just overall rude. In the beginning at the first 2 visits I saw her her bedside manners were awesome and she helped me walk again. But come the 3rd and fourth visit her attitude became very poor, cold, curt, and she just seemed to be annoyed and rushed the visits. Typical of doctors after a while.
I was given a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease by Dr. Lipson. I came in already suspecting it would be what it turned out to be and expressed this to her. She did not listen to me well and in fact, interrupted me a few times as I was talking trying to explain my symptoms to her. After my results came back, she was very nonchalant, cold and did not even recommend anything to help me with my condition or to maintain my symptoms. I did not and will not return to her ever.
I had to come all the way from Alabama to go to Emory and seek care due to my awful rheumatologist I was seeing refusing to treat me and ignored me. Let me say when I got in to see Dr.Lipson I was in a wheelchair and could not walk or bend my knees. My right knee was extremely swollen. I got in on an urgent referral by Emory ER. Lol as soon as Dr.Lipson came in the room ahe asked me how did I get in so quickly since they have a wait list. I told her I'm that bad off. Lipson took the time to listen to me, document my ailments, and even examined my swollen knee. She told me she would have to drain the fluid from my knee and inject some steroid in it. She also said she would send it off to be cultured to see if there is an infection. She put me on 20mg of prednisone and had me do a full blood pannel and UA. She also wanted to get all of my past medical records from previous rheumatologists and hospitalization records
After reading some of the other reviews on Dr. Lipson,. I was absolutely astonished at some of the claims made in the reviews. I already had the appointment made through my primary care doctor and called to tell them what I was reading in these reviews. The nurse assured me that if I would go ahead and keep the appointment she felt that I would be pleasantly surprised. Dr. Lipson entered the examining room with a smile on her face and was very courteous and concerned,. In fact, her bedside manner was excellent! She spent as much time talking, examining and answering questions as anyone could possibly need. When I was leaving, I told her that I had read the reviews and didn't agree with them and I was going to be certain to write one of my own. She assured me with some of the reasons that a person might be dissatisfied with their visit and I understood the reasoning completely. Take it from me. This is a great place to go.
Rude, not very thorough at all, doesn't care to look at your previous medical info, when she orders tests don't expect a call back w/o having to leave multiple voice mails. And if you miss her call WHEN she DOES call back expect a nasty email on how she tried calling and shes just going to give you your results through the email. Wont answer questions and pushes you off on PCP when this is her line of expertise. Even PCP was confused! Would never send anyone to her !
"Your'e stuck" was the last thing I heard from Dr. Lipson. Her bedside manner was awful, she was condescending, rude, in a hurry, forever running late, and REFERRED ME TO THE INTERNET OR MY PHARMACIST when I had a question about a new medication or one that we were considering trying. I felt like I did all the work for her. On top of that, I was at Emory and they are so large, they do a fantastic job of making you feel like a very small cog in the wheel. Wait times were always at least an hour over appt time. So dehumanizing. She shouldn't be treating patients. It's clear it's not her passion in life.
Very very disappointed. Zero bedside. No sympathy or understanding. Rushed. Not thorough. Horrible.
Patient care is HORRIBLE. CONDESCENDING ATTITUDE. I agree with the previous post. She needs training in PATIENT CARE. Rude and insensitive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
