My experience with Doc Hernandez was great. He helped us even after we got our graduation of conceptions, and that meant a lot to us. About the billing department, I will recommend to pay attention to any detail and request everything.
It has taken me a while to write this review, and simply couldn't find the words necessary to describe our experience. My first interactions with this office were ok. You do not meet the doctor until all tests are done and completed; in other words, once you have spent a lot on tests and lab work. On the day I came for my fallopian tube exam, the lady in the front office told me I had not been scheduled for that given day. I stated I had been and I had taken the necessary medication in order to get the test done that morning. I could tell that the nurses in the back were scrambling, running late, and fitting me in due to lack of communication on their scheduling department. On the day that we met with the dr. I could tell that he had not correctly read our file or tests results. We were told that we would not have a problem conceiving except for the fact that we both tested positive for a genetic condition, and that the only way to conceive would be to do IVF-pgtm... meaning the most expensive form of IVF. Once directed to the accounting department and being told by the dr to "open up a bottle of wine and have some difficult conversations", we proceeded to contact a genetic counselor which was a must do in order to proceed. We scheduled our free consult with their genetic counselor only to be told that we had no such problem and that our file had simply been misread. When we asked for a new consult, all the office was willing to give us was a phone call. Upon which the dr spoke to us condescendingly and back tracked on a lot of what was said. It was clear that we were being pushed into a procedure that was costly and that often times people are willing to pay for it blindly due to the situation of our circumstances. When people are made to think that there is no other option, what else are they going to do, but pay up. Glad that we were given the clarity necessary to step back and see what was truly happening in our situation.

If you go for endometriosis treatment, please don't. Or see directly the Doctor, not the nurse. Every time I called for pain killers they just told me "we need to review your case" and that's it, and I have severe endometriosis pain. They told me the exact same thing during 3 months.
If there was a negative star option, I would ask for the one below that. This office is notorious for fleecing people. The practice is in network with most insurances, but they find ways to game the system. It’s only a matter of time before they are in the news for insurance fraud. I cannot say that the physician made a positive impact on me. I am glad they are in my rear view mirror.
Best experience ever I recommended them 💯
Dr Hernandez and his team are exceptional! I am currently a patient and although the process has been physically and emotionally difficult it is teaching me patience and to be kind to myself. Without Dr H, Anay, Jackie, Ekko, Josefina, the very funny and kind Jennifer and all the other nurses it would have been impossible to bear. Incredible bedside manners and they make it easy to put a positive spin to this very difficult process which truly is a rollercoaster. Dr H, thank you for making me always feel like I am your only patient! With deepest gratitude, Claudia Ruemmelein
After trying to get pregnant naturally for a couple of years with no success, my husband and I decided to look for a specialist. Back in 2017 we went to conceptions FL in coral gables where we met dr Hernandes Rey, we had a good conversation, and some time down the road we discussed about “unexplained infertility”, the word unexplained is not encouraging at all, specially when you want concrete answers for Wht is preventing you of becoming pregnant. still, at 33 it was good to know I had options that I could try, the dr answered all our questions, he was always very honest and clear about everything, we decided to try some rounds of IUI, but it didn’t work for us; we tried 3 times, no success; deep down I knew that if i wanted a “positive” I had to think positive; it was time to try IVF. “”IVF “” if I had to describe it In a few words, I’d say: It’s a journey! during the process I was diagnosed with endometriosis, as the dr suspected since the beginning, but that wouldn’t interfere in the treatment which was good to hear. Today I can only say dr. Hernandes and his team are simply amazing, they are extremely professional, and very helpful, it felt great to know I had an entire team ready to make magic happen. The Ivf process can be painful, physically tiring and emotionally intense, and it was; but for each injection taken I put a smile on my face, always thinking: this could potentially being bringing me closer to my “positive”, so I embraced every step of the process as a great opportunity to feel happy for having such great people helping me to make my dream come true ... and guess what? My little one is three months old now and I couldn’t be happier! it was worth the journey! My baby boy is my joy. Thank you Dr. Hernandez for all your help, you have an incredible team! Alex, Ashley, yissell n all the nurses who were there for me when I needed, thank you for the support; because of all of you, im living the most incredible phase of my life, it was amazing to have another heart ❤️ beating inside of me; please keep making future mamas hopeful and making their dream come true.I
Words cannot describe how amazing Dr. Hernandez-Rey and his medical partners and nursing staff are. Myself and my wife have been going through a long stressful journey facing challenges of infertility for the past few years with two prior unsuccessful IVF procedures 2018 and 2019.... Previously we were seen by another well known IVF Physician group in Kendall / Baptist area, and we were hesitant to try new doctor bc of stressful process , failed ivf x2 and became somewhat hopeless overwhelmed and frustrated.... We heard about Dr Hernandez-Rey success from numerous work colleagues in Miami who successfully had ivf pregnancy and were very happy with his office care and nursing staff and so we decided to go for a consult 1 year after our last failed ivf procedure... I can tell you right off from the very first consult we had with Dr. Hernandez he and his staff, nurses , health practitioners reviewed our entire chart , radiographs and did a comprehensive exam thorough history and critical evaluation of “WHY OUR LAST TWO IVF PROCESSES FAILED” just like a true detective...thanks to his outstanding , professional knowledgeable and dedicated care, by surprise to us we had 4 successful embryo outcomes with good chromosome results , all genetic testing done w detail, and currently have our first successful pregnancy to full term. What I have learned from this process is that the physician group you choose for Ivf and the group you choose is critically important and try to avoid practices that do “cookie cutting copy and paste” methods for everyone... Having gone through this ivf cycle a total of three times w my wife, what I can tell you for 100% certainty is that Dr. Hernandez tailored the treatment to us individually, critically evaluated what failed and regimented a detailed treatment process with great insight & care and the nurses staff and health professionals were amazing always available and proceeded with a unique therapeutic process which in our case yielded 4 genetically great embryos at the end... On top of the amazing science that they practice his bedside manners are Professional courteous honest and never rushes you and answers all your questions in a timely manner with outstanding nurses who always get back to you and really truly care to see you and your wife succeed. Special thanks to special RNs nurses (Chelsea RN, Yiselle, Ekho) as well who went above beyond during holiday time to ensure our treatment and concerns were always answered, I quite honestly felt all of the nurses and professionals (including Dr Alvarez +Bauer)there are superior and all were dedicated to seeing your best outcomes possible. Dr Hernandez is truly a one of a kind! Anyone reading this review I wish you the very best of luck in your journey as it can be a very difficult Stressful and daunting process- sometimes no one knows why ivf fails at times, the science is complicated and never guaranteed- although there is never a guarantee in life- i feel this clinic with all the staff and physicians esp Dr Hernandez are your BEST OPTION FOR THIS TOUGH CHALLENGE ...Simply stated I have full confidence that Dr. Hernandez and his entire staff helped to make our dreams come true and we are in sincere gratitude for his care and expertise. Thank You Dr H and Staff🙏🏻
Hi All, Maybe Dr. Hernández is better at dealing with fertility, I don’t know. But he is not very attentive with patients who are having uterine fibroids removed. Very long story short, some promises were not kept. His staff are all disorganized and just awful. Full story on google reviews. Thank you
