A horrible experience. Walked in with a “let me get this over with attitude”, asked me two questions and simply GLANCED at my skin (no actual test or samples done/taken) and told me that the dry patches occurring on my skin were from “ingrown hairs” prescribed me a BS cream to fade the spots (not treat them) and sent me on my way within 5 minutes with a $300 bill. I tried to interject that the spots couldn’t possibly be ingrown hairs and she disregarded any of my feedback and told me she was the license professional and “knew” what she was talking about. Ultimately with absolutely no change to my skins condition I went and got a second opinion from a different literally heaven sent dermatologist they did skin patch tests and took samples and they concluded what I actually had was contact dermatitis and immediately gave me the proper treatment. I am not sure what is wrong with you Dr.Dawes that you felt the need to disregard my concerns and ultimately misdiagnosed me. If you’re not up for feedback from paying patients and lack empathy then please leave this field. Even your nurse in the room acknowledged and apologized for your very dismissive behavior. Shame on you!

I have recommended Dr. Dawes to 3 family members. She is an exceptionally caring and knowledgeable Doctor. I highly recommend her to any one who is looking for a competent dermatologist. Dr. Kim Lu was my Doctor for 4 years until he moved on. I knew immediately that I wanted Dr. Dawes to become my Doctor because of previous experiences with her when she did her internship.
