List of Harris Gellman's Reviews
Dr. Gellman is such a good doctor. Extremely knowledgeable. His office is very busy but that’s because he’s so good. . His staff is excellent. Very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend him.
Fantastic doctor and surgeon!
Dr Gellman is one of the best hand surgeons I've ever been to. I've had a lot of hand, arm, and finger problems in the past 10 years. Prior to seeing Dr Gellman I was seen by another hand surgeon who left me deformed and unable to use my dominant hand. Dr Gellman repaired my hand and I'm able to write and close my hand now. He is a miracle worker, he is knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, meticulous, and takes his time with you. More importantly he is honest and tells you the way it is. He is my hero! By the way he's the best hand surgeon you will ever see.
I have to leave 1 star, but I would like to do zero, worst place, they dont respect your time, the front desk is rude, dont bother going to this office unless you have available 4 hours to sit and wait for your appointment that was scheduled at 11am ...maybe you will get to see the doctor at 3.30pm. then the doctor won't even talk to me, not impressed really, I had to walk away after my second visit and after waiting more than 2 hours to find out they weren't going to take me in for surgery, I found another hand surgeon closer to my house, I visited today, excellent staff and the doctor took the time to talk to me and explain me everything, dont waste your time in this place.
I had two separate wrist surgeries, one on each side within a 2 year span. Dr Gellman took great care of me before, during, and after surgery. He is a very compassionate and caring doctor and is extremely knowledgeable. His staff is top notch, , from the xray tech, to his surgery coordinator, and especially his kind and caring PA, who is absolutely the sweetest! I highly recommend Dr Gellman.
I have seen so many doctors and specialists my whole life, and this doctor and his staff is one of the WORST I have experienced. TERRIBLE bedside manner from this doctor!! Bad attitude from the staff at front desk, to the PA, to the doctor. So I went there because had a chronic pain in my hand, that was aggravated by an accident. The constant pain level was 1-2. They took X-rays, and then the PA evaluated my hand, then the doctor came, inserted with no compassion with force a long syringe into the joint I had the pain. When I screamed in pain, he responded with "do you want me to help you?!". Seriously?! I work with my hands (physical work), I don't work in front of the computer and doctor told me after I was in pain "Oh just take an advil, pain will go away in 30 minutes". How about first telling me what is the problem I had with my hand and after seeing the Xray and evaluation? but no, the PA instead of explaining me what I had, and what I need, she just sat there talking to a tape recorder for the SOAP notes or documentation they needed to have on file about my consultation. I felt I was just a number and they were more concerned about paperwork to get paid with insurance company instead of helping me! Oh, and they don't like to take calls, from noon and 1:30pm, but I called after 1:30pm and still "busy not taking calls". I left a message to call me back and never got the call back! And the pain? GOT WORSE!! the pain didn't subside in 30 minutes how the doctor said, I had a terrible pain the whole day and night, and went from level 1-2 to 8 after that worthless injection! I'm still in pain 2 days later and has affected my job. I was better before than I'm after seeing this doctor.
Dr Gellman has done 3 hand surgeries on my right hand. A carpal tunnel, trigger finger and most recently the wrist. I have been seeing him for years and can say that he is the best in the business. He is understanding and has excellent bedside manners. His staff are helpful and professional as well. Sometimes the wait is long but you can always call and see how long the wait is and adjust accordingly. My very first visit I waited two hours but so worth it. Like every doctors office they can be busy.
Went here for treatment for a broken wrist. Dr. Gellman and the PA Sarah were very helpful and always answered all my questions during my appointments. I was able to crack jokes with the x-ray tech and the lady who applied my casts which made what I was going through suck a little less. I always left the office in good spirits. The few times I called front desk picked up right away and answered all my questions. My only complaint is the extremely long wait times to see the Dr. Hopefully I don't need to, but I would definitely come back to this office.
Short version, this doctor and his staff from the front desk to the PA and xray tech have ZERO bedside manners. None whatsoever. As a registered nurse this is the worse I have ever seen.
Dr. Gellman is a awesome surgeon, he is very professional, compassionate and always treats his patients with respect. Had 2 surgeries, both turned out great. He is wonderful and his staff is also awesome. The wait is well worth it for a truly dedicated doctor!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
