Dr Pereira is an outstanding Dr. He is polite, listens, explains and doesn’t make you feel like your taking up extra time for him to rush you out. I am a high anxiety patient and he put me at ease. I will and already have recommended him to others! I would also like to recommend Nurse Jennifer Piraino as a super caring, knowledgable and competent person. She too listens and looks for solutions. I am hopeful that both of these special individuals could be moved to the Coral Springs office, and more frequently because they make you feel like you matter in this very busy world. Perhaps you can also relocate office person Sierra who has gone over and beyond to help me out in many different occasions and works her magic!

Dr Pereira is probably a capable doctor but when it comes to caring for the elderly he has much to be desired. I brought my elderly mom feeling extremely sleepy, weak and disoriented. He sends in a medical student to evaluate you before he comes in. After more than one hour waiting, he comes in and proceeds to explain that elderly people suffer of multiple conditions specially at my moms age and also to tell me of his suspicions of Parkinson's because of my moms facial expression. Although I explained to him she is just feeling extremely sleepy and weak and after I ask him for an order to have a blood test his answer is why I want blood test? To which I answer the blood test are check her chemistry of course! He ignores me. I asked her medical student for a blood test, ignored again. I ask him for blood test at least twice more before leaving. Ignored. I few days later I took my mom to the ER because she was just too weak and disoriented. It turns out she had a Sodium level just above 100! Something that could have been found with a simple blood test! The doctor is an Internal doctor, not Geriatric and should not be seeing elderly patients. Please be careful if you bring your elderly family member. I am sure he is knows medicine but from our experience he lacks empathy for the elderly.

El doctor Mario Pereira puede ser un muy buen doctor, pero el personal que atiende las llamadas no tiene ni idea de poder ayudar al paciente. Yo accedí al doctor Pereira como mi doctor primario, pues mi seguro lo recomienda y además dice que el servicio es también en español; pero , no es así ... siempre que llamo para corregir una orden me pasan a un mensaje de voz donde nunca me regresan la llamada. Por favor sean más responsables y tengan un poco de respecto para los pacientes hispano parlantes.
