MIchael Silverman's Online Review Report Card

Please note that Doctor Silverman is no longer the doctor at this establishment he retired and he was our doctor for many years and a great doctor with great staff. The new doctor has very rude and unfriendly staff working for him. I normally do not post but after having such a bad experience a few weeks ago. I decided to post. The arms of my eyeglasses were broken and I went in to get assistance. I said hello to the gentleman who should have greeted me but he said nothing but looked at my glasses and said there’s nothing we can do about this. I then shared that I cannot see without them I need a replacement he didn’t ask my name nor did he look in the system to see when the last time I was there until after I was persistent about I needed help. Then a young lady began to help me at first she was being friendly but after he kept complaining about there’s nothing we can do and saying those look like readers anyway. They both began to examine them to see if they were readers after I told them they were prescription I could have gone anywhere for readers. Finally she realized they were progressive prescription lenses by that time she had fell into his same mode of unfriendliness and they both decided that there was nothing they could do but I was persistent that I needed help with my glasses because I cannot see without them so she proceeded to find me a pair of frames that she could use to replace those and she went and found the most expensive frames in the shop $340 and then told me that I have to pay cash versus using my insurance because it’s not time for my renewal for another month which I later found out was not true. I asked if she could find a less expensive pair and she said no this is it. Even though they told me my appointment was not until April I have received an automatic response from the system saying it’s time for my annual appointment and that my last visit was a year ago. I have never experienced this type of treatment they were very unfriendly and did not want to help they also were all standing around talking when I first arrive and I had to literally wait until they finished.

In two words, "STRONGLY RECOMMENDED". My husband and I have been patients of Dr Silverman for years. We consider him to be an expert optometrist. He takes the time to do a complete exam, listens to our concerns and explain each of our conditions and vision options.

Had a stye staff got me appointment quick. Staff was super nice Silverman is AMAZING. One of the best optomotrist I've ever seen.

Have always been super nice and super helpful. They always tighten my glasses and clean them up real nice whenever I pop in. Doctor is great and would recommend this place to anyone.

Called Dr. Silverman during holidays and he called back right away. My daughter had used the wrong contact lens solution while at a friends house and it burned her eyes causing a lot of pain and swelling. Dr. Silverman was very helpful in directing us as to what to do. Glad to have him caring for our family’s eyes.

Him and his staff are very professional, friendly and accommodating.Needed special eyedrops and had major insurance issues and had to bother them numerous times to call/fax and deal with my insurance company (which we all know is a painful, annoying experience).They were nothing but helpful and dealt with my stupid insurance company, and I'm so grateful for that.Did my regular eye and contacts examine there and ordered my contacts through them.Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Good and thorough DO. Office staff rude. I received a refund and lecture for saying hurtful words to a staff member, which I haven't. I just described the lady to her coworker because I don't know her name. On that scolding call from the staff member, she wasn't called by her name either, but I was asked not to visit again. If you call for a hurt staff member, and you know the reason she was unintentionally hurt, correct the error by saying her name to give me the chance to apologize. This is rude.
