I have Aetna PPO insurance and when I visited this office, I paid the expected co-payment. I believe the office administration staff should have called the insurance company to verify that the procedure, CONE BONE CT CAPTURE AND INT and/or type of xray machine they had would be covered. In my case, it was NOT covered. The office and I did not know that until after the Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company. At the very least, if the office called the insurance company beforehand, I could have given me the awareness that the procedure would not be covered. I could then make an informed decision of whether to proceed or NOT. I am stuck with paying an additional $155 over and above the co-pay I already paid.
