Saw Dr Burak as a new patient. Before he even came in the room he complained about how much paperwork I had (3 mri reports). He never introduced himself. He did not look at my mri scans, or the reports he complained about. He did not listen to me and argued that there is “nothing surgical” about me- despite me telling him that surgeons from Johns Hopkins and Paley Institute, among others, recommended surgery on both my cervical and thoracic spine. I’m putting off surgery and have had 8 epidural injections and have gone to PT since 2019- which is what I wanted today. I was told my insurance needs pre-authorization for injections. I’ve never needed that before, and I called BCBS upon leaving and I still do not need it. Basically I wasted a $40 co pay. This doctor did not listen, made jokes, poked me and asked if it hurt, and then basically said there is nothing wrong with me. I will be sticking to actual surgeons doing forward, and I will not be going back to this office.
