Please look for a different doctor! This MD had a good reputation when he worked in Tallahassee. But since moving to Crawfordville recently he appears to have gone into "retirement mode." He never spent more than 15 minutes with me, doing the bare basics. He goes over lab results, checks breathing, and then out the door! If I try to present a new problem as he is trying to go, he becomes irritated and curt. And by the way, due to staff shortage, you have to go to another clinic to do your lab work, which is time consuming and can cost you out-of-pocket. He finds excuses for touching a patient as little as possible, for example he declines to do the digital exam for prostate cancer, which my previous MD always did! His medical training was in his home country, and his English is heavily accented and hard to understand. He has good command of medical terms, but if you put him "off script" by asking more detailed questions he quickly becomes very hard to understand. Also, he pads my "problem list" with anything I mentioned, even in passing, even if he does not discuss with me or recommend any treatment. Also, he coded each medical visit so that I always owed him a deductible, even when my medical insurance did not require payment of a deductible. With this many issues, it's just not worth it. Don't go! All in all, I believe you can find better medical care elsewhere.

My Primary Physician retired after 36 yrs. I was very hesitant looking for a new primary physician. After my daughter Inlaw told me about being very pleased with her doctor (Dr Mendoza) and me doing research I finally after 7 months have got Doctor Mendoza in Crawfordville Fl and I feel like I made a great decision. I’ve had two visits since he’s been my doctor and it’s been a great experience both times. I normally do not do reviews but felt like this was worth letting everyone know especially in Crawfordville that we have a great Doctor, Staff and facility in Crawfordville. Dr Mendoza is very caring and explained everything thoroughly where I could understand. I got X-rays and lab done all in one visit and was called by staff the next day with results. All staff and Dr Mendoza were very professional and the Doctor and staff relationships makes you feel like part of the family

I was a patient of Dr Mendoza snd he is amazing, he takes time with his patients and is very thorough. I had to change gr doctors once he moved but I am trying to go back with him.

Dr Mendoza is friendly, and he is really focused on my health. he expend time with me, with not rush, and has resolved any health problem that I have in a good way. Totally recommended.

I was looking for a care provider in my network and called. They made me an appointment in less than 2 weeks which was pretty quick due to the COVID pandemic. My wait time was less than 15 minutes and everyone was kind and caring. Dr Mendoza actually listened to my health concerns and was really receptive. I def recommend this place.

Dr. Mendoza takes his time to talk to patients and answer all their concerns. His staff is very friendly and professional and handles the COVID restrictions well.

Upon moving from Houston TX to Tallahassee FL, I was in great need of finding a primary care doctor for my mother and I. Glad to say, I discovered Dr. Jose Mendoza, MD who had his office at Capital Regional Medical Center. My mother and I were one of his first patients. Dr. Mendoza was always very kind and loving with my elderly mother and I. answered our questions, informed us when we needed yearly shots, took time to communicate with us without being in a hurry to push us out the door to see his next patient. Even though Dr. Mendoza moved his office from Tallahassee FL to Crawfordville FL, my mother and I chose to keep Dr. Mendoza as our PCP. When my loving mother passed this May 14, 2020, Dr. Mendoza personally phoned me to pay his respect to my mother. I feel very thankful to have Dr. Mendoza in my life. Thank you.

I have just experienced the best physician visit I have had in a long time. Dr. Mendoza and his staff were outstanding. From the initial contact with Stacey [great personality] to the the blood work by Kenny. Sherra took her time with me and listened to my problems. She was both friendly and very professional as were all. I felt very comfortable and was really happy I made the trip to Crawfordville. Dr. Mendoza was both thorough and engaging. he made me very comfortable. He is both knowledgeable, professional and seemed genuinely interested in me as a patient. The new office looked great. I would recommend you go south to Crawfordville. It was well worth the trip

On my first appointment he advised that i would need to be seen by a specialist to have one of my medications filled. I agreed. I advised i would need help until I could get referral and appointment set up.He nodded yes. I ran out of the medicine 3 days after i saw him. Called asking for a bridge rx . He refused a life threatening medicine i had been prescribed 30+ years. I've never abused nor asked for an increase . I was forced to go to ER given enough for 3 days . An expense i couldn't afford. Do not know what to do except go to ER again when withdrawal occurs ; then no choice but to do inpatient detox.Stopping medicine suddenly could cause death of me. I've never had a dr. Refuse to not help! Definitely put me in harms way.Vs. Do no harm. Unbelievable with many other medical dr."s agreement. He is listed as internal medicine physician and could have justified a bridge rx. All my past Internal medicine physician's had no problems prescribing.
