Gustine Liu-Young's Online Review Report Card

This "doctor" had the nerve to yell at me because I cut my arm on a protruding hinge in a room at Seven Rivers Hospital. I think she lost her mind yelling that it was my fault and "you did this". Obviously I did it, by mistake, but she acted like I did it on purpose. I believe she needs mental health help. It's either that, or she is part owner of the hospital, and was afraid I wanted to sue (which I never thought of it was an accident).

Once again, she is amazing. I have to edit this review because I can’t make a second one . Thank you to the ER yesterday. The initial assessment was done by the nurse practitioner who took this very seriously and we were quickly moved along. Dr. Kyrellos was an absolute gem. He listened very carefully to all the details I gave him regarding my mother’s health in the last 6 weeks. He was not dismissive in any way, which is really what has happened, leading to her not even being able to stand yesterday morning. He aspirated her knee and she was septic. Amanda was a great nurse, she was attentive and caring and I also witnessed her being the same way with the patient next door, really advocating for her. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the female paramedic who came out to the car to help me get her in the hospital but she was amazing as well and even ended up putting my mom’s IV in. My mother was going to be transferred to another facility who initially accepted her but then changed their mind stating her issue was chronic and she could follow up outpatient. This issue was definitely new onset. The Dr here was concerned about this decision so he reached out to Dr Khan her PCP who asked him to call Dr. Liu Young. She said absolutely not, she must have treatment now!!! Thanks to her and Dr. Kyrellos, my mom is now in Tampa with a specialist who is already putting a plan together. I love Dr. Liu Young, she saved my dad’s life in 2020, my mom’s last year and has gone to bat for my mom once again. I’m writing this review for Dr. Liu Young because she absolutely deserves it!!! She is a kind Physician who takes the time to listen to her patients and their families. She looks at the evidence and follows through. Dr Liu Young is incredibly smart and empathetic. I know for a fact that in at least one hospital in this community, she is one of only a few doctors who even go into a Covid patients room and actually puts a stethoscope on them. She has saved many lives during this pandemic in our community. And on a personal level she saved my mother’s life. Three trips to the emergency room in a 10 day period before finally getting admitted and by the grace of God, Dr. Liu Young was immediately consulted on her case. My mom had an infection that no one could figure out except Dr. Liu Young. She has been on IV antibiotics now for 2 months and is getting stronger each day, her blood work is done regularly to monitor her kidneys and radiological examinations have been done to find the root of the problem and she is now being seen by another specialist. My mom is in rehab currently and the doctor has done her visits using tele medicine due to my Mom’s weakness. The doctor doesn’t want to cause my mom added pain or stress by being transported to her office. I also want to mention that she was instrumental in saving my dad’s life two years ago and she wasn’t even his doctor, his doctors put him in near kidney failure by not following up with his lab work while being on dangerous medication. All I can say is Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will always be grateful.

She is very professional and caring. Nurses in the hospital rave about her and highly respect her opinion.

I called this office to get my husband an appointment. He is currently being seen by another dr that lives 45 minutes from us and dr lui-young is 5 minutes from us. He is being treated for Lyme disease by the other dr for almost 2 years and still has Lyme disease after months of IV antibiotics and we wanted a new dr. This office told me they will not accept my husband as a patient because he is seeing another dr and they will not take patients from other drs. So dr Lau-young obviously does not practice medicine because he cares about people, he only cares about taking business from another dr.

I was very impressed with Dr. Young. She was very straight forward with with her diagnoses. extremely knowledgeable in her field. She took the time to explained everything so I could understand what to expect. My Husband and I especially liked the fact that she would do and tell her mother exactly what she told me if in my place. I recommend her highly .

Haven't seen doctor yet, BUT the person "Charles" who called to schedule my appointment was rude, crude, arrogant; had terrible listening skill, continued to walk over my sentences before i finished speaking. Hope this is NOT what it will be like seeking health services from Dr. Liu? we will soon know. !
