Vincent Carifi's Online Review Report Card

Awful. My husband had a hernia and was referred to Dr Cariffi. He said he "would do bandaid surgery to repair it." So the day for surgery arrived, my husband was in his hospital gown, when this dr appeared and said "I'm going to do it the old fashioned way" (meaning a good-sized scar and much longer rehab). My husband said "why the change?" and Dr Cariffi wouldnt answer him. So my husband, may God rest his soul, got up off the gurney, found his street clothes, put them on and we left. We really felt like we escaped an awful situation. AVOID this man -- there are many other kind , communicative drs elsewhere.

I have been a patient with Dr Carifi for over 6 years and he is lovely doctor He explains everything thoroughly and after my biopsy, even called me at home to make sure I was okay Don’t agree with any of these negative reviews and comments I have had no issues and no reason to go elsewhere Thoroughly recommend

This man has no bedside manner and he mutilates women's bodies. I have a scar that is far from a straight line. He did a procedure on my mother and it took months to heal and recover from. I should have listened to her when she told me to find another Dr., who is compassionate.

I tell everyone I know to NOT go to him! He told me I had stage 1 breast cancer on a Monday and then said he could operate on me on Thursday. I was still in shock about being told I had breast cancer. He was friendly enough when his colleagues were there and also before the surgery, but during the post surgery check-up when it was just him and me, he was a rude, abrupt, and insensitive. I felt so victimized. This happened five years ago, and I still can't shake off what a jerk he was!

He was nice and friendly until after he operated on me. Then he became rude, abrupt, and insensitive. When I asked him for clarification about my lab results and also wait time, he told me that if I was not happy with him, I should find a new doctor! This happened during the post-op visit. I still had stitches and had not recovered from him cutting me up. Wish he had told me that before he operated on me.

Unbelievably rude to me. I was referred for a second opinion. Although I am thankfully "in the clear," he was short, interrupted me and was very cold. Spent five or fewer minutes in the room. In an effort to say something positive, his staff members and nurse and pleasant and kind. If you are looking for someone kind, with a good bedside manner, this is not your person.

Dr. Carifi is one of the most caring and competent doctors I have ever had. After my breast surgery, he came into the recovery room and gave me the news as gentle and jovial as possible. When I went home the night after surgery, he called me personally to see how I was doing! That was unheard of! He is the best at caring for his patients and putting them at ease.

Great doctor ...always kind and love his nurse Robin!!!
