I had the honour of meeting & being on of Dr. Bested patients in 2010. While we were going through my initial consultation & while describing my ailments, she could quite literally finish my sentences. This woman knew exactly what I was contending with. The fatigue, the pain, the environmental sensitivities. I was blessed with the best care. She is an incredible doctor.

Dr. Alison Bested was the physician who first diagnosed me with Lyme disease around Oct. 1994 when Ld was very rarely discovered in Ontario. It was recorded as a positive diagnosis with the Centre for Infectious Diseases in Toronto. Today, I have persistent, late stage Ld. If it hadn't been for Dr. Bested, I may not know what is wrong with me some 25 years later. Thank you Dr. Bested.

Dr. Bested is the bestest! Seriously, she's one of the best doctors that I have been seen by. She helped me a great deal. My own doctor was not very knowledgeable about Fibromyalgia and wasn't very helpful at all. She kept brushing off my disability, until I was able to be seen by Dr. Bested. Dr. Bested was very thorough and she detailed my illness and symptoms to my doctor in a letter. From that point, my doctor's attitude changed and she was better and more helpful. This was years ago, when many doctors scoffed at Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Dr. Bested was persistent in helping educate doctors and patients about the illnesses. She is very intelligent and helpful and cares. Great doctor, great specialist!

Dr Bested - I have been hearing about you for years , wishing I had had a chance to receive your care before you left Toronto. Now I hear you are back. I am very sick with FM. I so hope and pray that you may reopen your practice here again.

Dr. Bested was the best doctor/specialist I have ever had. I would give anything to be able to see her again in order to be assessed regarding my Fibromyalgia and also to learn what alternatives there are now for dealing with all the pain and other impairing symptoms. I sure miss her!

I've never met a more compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. She deals with very difficult cases and if not for her I probably would not be better at all. So you have to wait. She's totally worth it

Apparently, according to an article last year, Dr. Bested was being pressured to spend less time with patients so she resigned. One supposes the B. C. clinic wanted more fees rather than proper diagnoses for the complex diseases of Fibro/CFS/ME
