Evan Schlam's Online Review Report Card

I don't know how to rate this office because I've never been here. I work in a pharmacy and just want to post this for MEDICAID PATIENTS. WARNING: This office does not accept Medicaid. I informed the billing department to take "Medicaid accepted" off of this google listing. You will have to pay for your appointment and all the prescriptions that they write for if you have FL Medicaid.

I went to him for a basic body review to see if I had any skin cancer problems. He performed the review within 5 minutes and sprayed the freeze spray 3 times on my back. I guess I was too stupid to ask but he didn’t explain why he was doing it or what I should expect afterward. He told me my skin was Sun damaged but didn’t explain what that meant or what I should do in moving forward to help or improve it. Basically, he spent 5 minutes with me but did not add to any better understanding of my skin problems or what I should do to treat it. And the freeze spray on the three areas on my back? If anyone knows what that was about and what I should be aware of for after effects, please let me know.

Always busy, hardly spends more than couple of minutes with patients

Rushed so much. Never been to a DR who rushes so much. He was rushing so much that when he was freezing things, he actually almost froze a speck of dirt before I said something. Gave me a shot that left a mark and I found out later that it usually does and he never mentioned the possibility. He told me to wait on something I could have done at the same time, causing me to have tons more appointments. Just cares about getting more people in as quickly and as many times as possible. Terrible.

Worst experience with a doctor ever. Dr. Schlam Jr was condescending and raised his voice to me. Told just go to a neurologist! For a rash??? He didn’t help my rash at all he didn’t even look at it. Talk about a GOD complex. He has one. I can in no way recommend him. He has you buy meds from him instead giving you a prescription. Not all the ingredients are listed on the bottle but I can tell what ever he gave me has a lot of beeswax in it because I make my own soap so I can tell by the hardness of said ointment. He is greedy and did not leave me with a feeling of anything other than how many weeks can I get you to come back so I can make more $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I came in for an emergency and DR Schlam and his team were compassionate and helped me feel much better sooner than I expected. I am grateful to have found them!

Schlam Dermatology has been my "go to" for years... for myself and my entire family. The entire staff demonstrates professionalism and are more than accommodating. Dr. Schlam takes the time to listen to concerns and he is extremely knowledgeable. Recently, I visited Dr. Schlam for sclero therapy which I also had done years ago. I know so many individuals who have gone for treatment at other locations and were disappointed that the results did not last. Not at Schlam ... results have lasted all these years and this time was no different. I highly recommend Schlam Dermatology.

I felt that Dr. Schlam was continually pushing me to make a decision in my 2nd visit to him so he could calendar a 2nd mohs surgery right away or 7 visits of radiation for my nose. I was feeling quite pressured; his demeanor he wanted a decision then not later. I feel he was unethical by withholding treatment for the stitch removal on my chest mohs surgery he did that day until I make a decision on my nose mohs surgery along with scheduling me for a nose surgery to begin with and not even having the biopsy result in. I have never dealt with a doctor that I felt was unethical in my life and using scare tactics like my nose is going to be eaten up by this if I don’t get this treatment and stating I'm full of skin cancer without even having made a full body scan yet. I never received a copy of the biopsy results which every professional doctor I have ever been in the past has provided prior to making a decision for treatment. My message to anyone reading this RUN from this doctor.
