Of all my specialists, he is the top. He is a true clinician and diagnostician, really listens and is curious about the whole person. I truly feel better after each appointment with him and look forward to his help and guidance in managing my chronic conditions. I refer everyone with chronic pain conditions to him.

In my last visit to Patrick E Barry D.O.'s Hollywood FL office, I complained about shoulder discomfort. No x-ray or imaging was done prior to manipulation. While the doctor was doing osteopathic manipulation on my left shoulder, the shoulder was dislocated. I had to leave the doctor’s office by Rescue squad to go to the ER. I felt excruciating pain. The ER doctor had to put me to “sleep” to reduce the dislocation. I was discharged later in the day and referred to an orthopedist. My orthopedist said I need to wait about a month for some of the inflammation to go down and healing to occur before he could determine if there is any more damage which I pray not. I also have to start physical therapy several times per week so I can hopefully achieve a better range of motion in my arm. Although this is unlikely to happen to you and most reviews about this practice are positive, I am just sharing my personal unique experience.

I was treated for a joint complaint without them first doing a diagnostic test or Imaging. They commenced treatment without any test. This resulted in me suffering an injury at the office that required me to be taken from theHollywood office of Dr. Barry to the hospital emergency room by the Rescue Squad. This is my personal experience, it probably won't happen to others. I'm just sharing my occurrence.
