Beth A. Bartholomew's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I were treated very poorly by Dr. Bartholomew’s medical assistant. When we arrived for our appointment we asked her to ask Dr. Bartholomew if I could be in the exam room at the time of the evaluation as I am an RN and had medical questions about my husband’s heart condition. The medical assistant told us that Dr. Bartholomew would “get mad at her” if she asked for me to be in the room. I asked the medical assistant to be responsible to ask a specific question for me as I didn’t think my husband would remember. She said “does he have Alzheimer’s”. She then said, “Are you calling me irresponsible”. I said that’s not what I said at all. A couple weeks later we received a letter terminating my husband from their practice. In all of my years in the medical field, I have never been treated this way. And after observing how other patients were treated in the just waiting room, I would never recommend this practice to anyone. We are Very disappointed in the treatment we received at this practice.

I recently was seen and found the office staff, Dr. Bartholomew and everyone I was in contact with to be very nice. The visit was as expected , the doctor was on time and she was thorough, with all my questions answered and some of my medications were adjusted due to her findings.

My life.

My mother had a follow up appointment with Dr. Bartholomew. We were in a examining room where a nurse was completing a list of my mom's meds. My mother asked for water and the nurse said, "I will get it when I finish the meds". I asked her to get the water now so she did. Then my mom was having difficulty breathing. I asked the nurse to get the dr. I heard the dr say in the hallway outside the room that if my mom is not feeling well, we should call 9-1-1. Dr Bartholomew would not even come to listen to my mom's heart of lungs nor speak to my mom. We left the office vowing to never return again. I have never heard of a doctor refusing to even see a patient who was not well. If there are breathing issues, she could have given my mom an inhaler or oxygen. How can any decent doctor not see a patient in difficulty, especially a 90 year old lady??? Obviously this is not even a decent doctor.....sad.

Dr Bartholomew has been my go to cardiologist since my AFIB attack in 2012. Dr B is top shelf, compassionate and simply outstanding. Capt. Jerry B Daytona Beach, FL.

We took my mother to Florida Hospital 3 days ago at the request of her GP. Cardiologist Bartholomew was on call to see patients. She came in to the room and berated my 92 year old mother for first, daring to go to Florida Hospital, and second, for not drinking enough water. She actually told my now 4'6" mother to drink 2 quarts of water a day. How rude, obnoxious, and ignorant. I was at work and was unable to defend my mother. I wonder if she would have been so quick to snap at my mother if I had been there. I have seen similar comments about this woman. Obviously she doesn't care about people. She is in the wrong field!!!

DR. BARTHOLOMEW IS AN EXCELLENT DR AND IS VERY THOROUGH. I GIVE DR BARTHOLOMEW ALL FIVE STARS AS WELL AS STAFF AND OFFICE.

GREAT DOCTOR

I was referred to Dr. Bartholomew by my PCP who had worked with her in the past and had a high opinion of her medical expertise. My experience so far has been much different. This physician has a distain for all patients or perhaps a specific dislike for me personally - I do not know which. During my visits she has displayed a low tolerance for questions and responds in medical jargon that has little meaning to me. When I press for more clarity, her impatience and condescension are palpable.
