Carlos Fernandez Maymi's Online Review Report Card

I saw my two children with this doctor, both visits were excellent! This doctor is very dedicated and loves what he does, he treated my children with respect and care and gave me a lot of attention.

Dr. Fernandez is a great doctor, and I wouldn't take my daughter to anyone else. I see a lot of people complaining about their child not getting seen because they were late to their appointment. There's a reason for this, and it is to keep wait times down for other patients. If you are late and he sees you, then the next patient has to wait longer because of your tardiness. Be an adult and give you and your child plenty of time to make it so others are not waiting longer because of you.

Drove an hour in a thunderstorm with my four month old to see Dr. Fernandez (for the first time) and was turned away for being 11 minutes late because his policy is absolutely no late appointments by any amount of time. He’s the only doctor in this office with this policy Any parent knows how difficult it is to get a child out of the house on time, and when your patients are children one might consider that. Not to mention the office is hard to find and calling to get directions is useless. You enter the hospital and have to wait in a long line to get through security. They went through my whole stroller of baby stuff, then we finally made it to the office after ALL OF THIS 11 minutes late and were told to reschedule. The reality is that people are a bit late sometimes especially considering these particular circumstances. If you’re not willing to accommodate 11 minutes of lateness you shouldn’t be providing care to children or really anyone. and if you insist on having A ridiculous policy like this, at least inform patients upon making an appointment that they’ll be turned away if they’re even a little bit late.

Had an apt. Was 3 mins late and was turned away even though I had a sick 16 month old child with anxiety and an ear infection. Doctor was still in the room with the previous patient.

Are the wait times to have your child seen are horrendous. Dr. Fernandez has never once taken any of my concerns about my child seriously and I’m not even sure that he understands the concerns. The nurses and office staff for the most part are very friendly. For the last year, since my son has been born, I have been having an issues getting his Medicaid activated. I asked to self pay for my sons visits until his Medicaid issues were fixed, so that I didn’t get hit with ridiculous bills. They assured me that was happening, they would give me the self-pay amounts over the phone prior to his visit, which is what I would pay at the time of visit, but that is not the case in the end. they’ve charged me full price that they would try to charge insurance and then have sent me to collections on those instead of working with me like said. Will not use an advent provider ever again.

El es Apasionado, Dedicado, Amable y Sumamente Estricto con sus directrices y POR ESO Y MAS EL ES EL MEJOR PEDIATRA EN EL MUNDO. El trato a mi hijo que padecía de condiciones delicadas y hoy día mi hijo Creció estable y saludable ya tiene 23años hermosos, Gracias a Dr.Carlos Fernández Maymi. No importa a donde el valla, mi agradecimiento es para el y su Grandeza. Dios le Bendiga y el Universo le multiplique lo que con esfuerzo usted se a ganado. 💞💯💪

Took an entire day off work, and my child missed school for a checkup that never happened due to 1.parking arrangements 2.elevators 3.a major driving delay on Williamson and most importantly 4.locating the office that took us walking through their door at exactly one minute (for our very first appointment!) out of “their window” and they turned us away. Unacceptable. I think we can find a more reasonable doctor elsewhere. No-thanks.

Dr. Fernandez was great with my toddler. He was always very attentive and answered all my questions or concerns. The office staff was great and we never spent a lot of time in the waiting room. I highly recommend Dr. Fernandez to anyone looking for a pediatrician.

De verdad que Carlos es excelente pediatra. Tuve la oportunidad de llevarles mis hijos a PR y más que su doctor era nuestro amigo. Es muy profesional y acertivo en sus diagnósticos. Excelente!!!

From the office staff to Dr Fernandez, the best place to bring your Littles. I feel they care about my son and his development. They put this first time mom at ease.
