Dr. Birkedal was so lovely. He was clear, concise, and spoke to me like I was a contemporary. He asked me if I had questions and made sure that I understood the procedure, however routine it was or wasn't. His team was fabulous too- I felt safe and cared for. My procedure lasted less than an half hour and then I was wheeled back to recovery. The best part? Numerous staff at the hospital spoke very highly of him; saying he's one of the best! If that's not an indication of his ability, I don't know what is. Thank you Dr. Birkedal!

I am a high risk patient. Before, during and after I had the best care I have ever had with a doctor and his entire staff. Dr. Burkendal is stern and is serious about your health. With complications it didn't take Dr. Birkedale and his team 15 minutes to be back at the hospital and have me back into surgery. There was nothing he did wrong. I have a mechanical aurora valve and have to a lot of prep before a surgery. He gave me 1000% and the nurses and hospital staff were amazingly attentive and caring. If you are serious about your health this is the number one doctor to seek out!

I could not ask for a better doctor along with his entire team. Dr. Birkedale is serious and cares about your health. I am a high risk patient with a mechanical aurora valve and had some complications. It did not take him and his team 15 minutes to be back at the hospital at 3am and back into surgery. He checked on me every two hours. He is dedicated to his patients health and their care. From him to his staff and every person who took care of me at Advent hospital went above and beyond. I could not have had better care!

Dr. Birkendal and his staff are amazing. I could not have asked for a better surgical team. I appreciate that he knew the research on gastroparesis and took the time to explain everything. Mrs. Tammy is awesome too! I am so thankful that they gave me a chance to get off tpn. It's been a little bumpy along the way, but both Mrs. Tammy and Dr. Birkendal have been there every step of the way.

This review is not for the doctor he was awesome more for the scheduling just went to go to my appointment and left work took time out of my day. Arrive 6 minutes late got a call in the parking lot from them telling me that I had to reschedule even though I told him I was in the parking lot still wouldn't let me continue with the appointment even though I'm sure I would still have been in the waiting room had I been on time
