Mary Derbenwick's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Derbenwick has the worst bedside manner I have experienced or witnessed in the medical industry. She is also ignorant regarding her specialty and medicine as a whole. She is a narcissist with zero empathy and should not be a practicing physician. Read further to find out why I came to these conclusions: I have a rare neurological disease that she knew little to nothing about. I brought a printed copy of an article that had some additional tests written about that were pertinent to me. When I asked if she read the paper that I gave her she stated "yes, three pages", (it was a 13 page article but a quick read). She would not let me look at the papers that I brought with me and stated "just tell me your symptoms, you don't need to see the paper". I tried to explain that the papers I brought would help me with my talking points. A large part of my disease is brain fog and difficulty remembering things. She then stated that "it's from the internet, it means nothing, tell me your symptoms". I told her my symptoms and then started to talk about the additional tests mentioned in the article. She stated that "those tests were old and not correct". Mind you; this article had sources from the NIH (Pubmed) and The Lancet. She then proceeded to tell me how much she despises the WHO and how everything from the internet is nonsense. The papers cited were from 2021 or newer. I told her how she went to medical school over 30 years ago, using 30 year old text books. It's obvious she did not and has no desire to keep up with current medical practices. She then called me "obsessive" and stated I have ADHD. I told her if she could only walk 200 yards at 44 years old (this deterioration happened in just a few years), she would look for some resolution to the problem as well. She also stated "I have seen too many neurologists" and questioned "why are you going around seeing Neurologists?". I have seen two other Neurologists (in the same office with one another, it was a scheduling issue) and they were trying to figure out my diagnosis together. This was over a ten year period as well. There was nothing obsessive about it. Most importantly she is just extremely unhappy, rude, and ignorant to current medical standards and practices. I would highly advice not seeing Dr. Derbenwick for any problems in any aspect of medicine. She is truly a worthless human being in those regards. She will not help you.

Very happy with the extensive help and follow through. No stone is being left unturned to find out what is bothering me.

Horrible did get answers to my issues and nurse Kathy gave you results if test without explanation like I'm supposed to know what's she's saying..asked many questions and said I will talk to Dr but never responded..ihave reported to florida health care member services..don't go there even if it's out of network.3 reviews probably came from employees..I spoke to a couple of people that went to here and they said if was correct on review

I love Dr Debenwick. Finally someone who helped with my migraines and asked how my overall health was doing. She truly cares.

Dr. DERBENWICK is wonderful. She looks right in to your eyes as she talks to and really examines you. She has the most awesome , no nonsense nurse Kathy who adds to Dr. Derbenwicks prowess as a neurologist; afterall, Kathy is the one who calls me with all the news, requests for tests etc.

Finally a doctor that listens to you! Professional courteous and thorough it was a productive appointment much better than the last neurologist I saw. Highly recommend her practice.

Dr. Derbenwick is thorough and listens to your thoughts. She is compassionate and tries to help. I appreciated the fact that she did not rush me, especially since sometimes my mind doesn't grasp the concepts as fast since my last stroke.

Dr Mary Derbenwick is unpleasant, unhelpful and disorganized. Her best days seem to be behind her.

Would not recommend her. Visit was very disappointed. She has no idea where my pain come from and already recommended to take daily antidepressant......

I think the world of this doctor. I find her to be compassionate enough to listen to what I have to say, and she was able to help me with head aches that another neurologist could not. I highly recommend her. Her office is well run as well which I appreciate. If I am taking time off from work for a scheduled appointment, she is always on time to see me.
