this physician (if you can call him that) is rude and condescending. He thinks poorly of everyone, treats the veterans he is supposed to care for like they are just vile drug seeking idiots. He does not care about the person or their medical history and thinks he knows more than the specialists do

Dr. Blackwood is very rude and condescending. He does not listen to his patients and does not care about how they feel. He doesn't just lack bedside manner, he shouldn't be a physician, especially not one who cares for veterans

Dr Blackwood has always been a good doctor for me. He is usually to the point and when asked he tells. No sugar coating. He came up with many new ideas at different times that may be a benefit and after moving to another area and having a new primary care he has been greatly missed. Not many doctors like him.

I have never had a problem with Dr Blackwood. In fact he found my kidney Cancer a few years ago and caught it when it was just starting. I was sent to the VA Hospital in Gainesville and 3 days later walk out.

Often wondered about Dr. Blackwood's ability to practice medicine, as all he ever does is sit in front of his computer and rarely looks up to the patient (me). Sometimes he actually gives me a semi-decent physical, but usually, he just sits there and asks a couple of questions. Recently though, I had the opportunity to fully understand that, he clearly lacks the ability to listen to the patient and relies totally on test results, assuming that there is no such thing as false positives. This is the nastiest doctor I have ever come in contact with! He is ride, arrogant, and has a superior attitude to his staff and patients. He thinks all veitnom vets are drug addicts and alcoholics too! Wouldn't send my worse enemy to this guy...

My visit to the Outpatient VA was an experience I would not wish upon any one. Dr Blackwood was rude, arrogant, extremely curt. Just to say the least. Beware!

In my 64 years the most obnoxious, infuriating, rude, person let alone a physician, that I have ever met. Being an old female grandmother I have to admit I wish I could have knocked his block off.
