Ryan Rees's Online Review Report Card

Hard to find a good primary especially one that has great office staff! Great doctor , always runs on time, and the staff is one of the nicest.

Update: my dad passed away from stage 4 lung cancer April 23, 2023. He had a mass 7 cm and for years had a high white cell count that was never checked. His new doctor found it December and he was gone in 4 months. We never heard from Dr. Rees office. Again. They do not care. Heart attack: May 2022, Covid: July 2022, and pneumonia and they he couldn’t get a nurse to call him. just the receptionist to tell him to calm down and take a Tylenol. Dr Rees is great, my entire family went to him. His nursing staff and receptionist on the other hand are rude and infallible. My father for instance had a heart attack and a stint put in and a month later came down with Covid. He called for information of what to do as he is our PCP. The receptionist told him to take 2 Tylenol. I’m sorry since when are receptionist allowed to give medical advice? She fully admitted she had no medical background.He waited almost two days for a call back. He’s since been hospitalized again. He has tried to get a new pcp and the receptionist/nurses told the new doctor not to accept him. After my father spoke to what should be his new doctor he was shocked at what really occurred. Three months later he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He has since passed away after 3 months of battling cancer and pneumonia. We have never heard from his office. They do not care. They are covering for their mistakes. This is all after a few months ago my mother went in for an appt and they said she had none. They were completely rude. My mom showed the card with the exact time and date. No apology that they were wrong, just well your not on the schedule we don’t have time to see you. He really needs a new office staff. I would happily post the names of each of the individuals involved as they are the problem. But I am hoping this is enough.

I ran into Ryan Rees at a function and we got to talking. My primary care doctor has left the practice so Dr. Rees said he would be happy to take me back as a patient. He said "Just call my office and my nurse will be happy to take care of you" I called the office in December and spoke with Dr. Rees' nurse. She scheduled my appointment for January 26, 2023 at 3:00 pm. I called the FHC member services to make the change to my primary care doctor on Monday, January 23rd just so I would do everything the right way. FHC told me that Dr. Rees' "Panel" was closed for medicare patients. They proceeded to tell me to just call the office and they can open it, put me in and then close again, SOOO I called the office and they said that they cannot do that. They said my only options were to keep the appt and self pay or they would have to cancel my appt. Not knowing what to do, the appointment was cancelled by the office. I decided to just go and self pay (that they suggested less that 10 minutes before) and they told me I couldn't do that, It would be insurance fraud. They said your appointment is cancelled and then they hung up. My purpose for writing this review is in hopes that Dr. Rees will see it. I want him and the other doctors to know how their office staff is treating patients. (I think they were all involved in my phone call because they kept asking what to do. The easiest answer was to cancel the appointment). They didn't even try to help me. I got the number that FHC told me they needed to call and they just didn't care. P.S. I only filled in the stars because I had to to get this review on here.

Waited 1hour 40 minutes on hold that was hung up on at 12:00 because it was their lunch called back after 1:00 was on hold for 40 mins was told they did want to here my complaint if I wanted to make an appointment okay or hang up. Nice huh makes me want to change doctors

Dr. Rees is very pleasant and professional and answers all my questions. He makes me feel comfortable and reassured that he is giving me the best of care. I send all my friends and co-workers to him.

Dr. Rees is a great Dr., but, his office staff is horrible! If you are on any kind of insurance that needs referrals for everything, you will not get them. Jo acts syrupy sweet, but, isn't helpful. She told me to go to Excellent Health for physical therapy. That is not a physical therapy facility. Never got mri referral after a month. The ortho sent request 3 times.Jo gave me wrong time for telehealth.Office is horrible!

Dr Rees is very caring

Felt like the doctor did not listen to the symptoms being presented.

Best dr I’ve ever had. Never wait more than 5 minutes, knows exactly what is going on and isn’t afraid to be brutally honest. Nurse Jeanne is a sweetheart. He’s the kind of dr that always wants to see your bloodwork and makes sure that everything is up to date. Great guy.
