Thank you for taking me in on a short notice my tooth seems to be doing good. Got a few more left
This place is like aspen dental all they care about is money. Talk about any payment options they will look at you with two heads, and say they don't do financing. Here the bill will be 500 dollars. Not everyone has the option for credit. You are not financing, using the word financing is not right. you are just like my mechanic that I go to. He gives me the bill and I pay monthly. Financing means a credit card. Some procedures cost alot of money. And teeth can be very deadly.. what happens when someone has a emergency wait let me bill you 240 dollars up front.
This office was originally a private practice. It has been bought out by a large business. There has been several problems with billing if my insurance company. Also know of others that have had problems
Janae always does a wonderful job cleaning mine and my husband’s teeth. You can tell she truly cares about her patients!
Was very professional.
Friendly service, and as enjoyable as a dentist visit could be.
Sage Dental at Beach Street is an awful organization. I went there as a new patient. They took X-rays, did a perio (gum) check, and had a hygienist look at my teeth to “determine what kind of cleaning” I needed. The whole visit took 2.5 hours, and I had to make another appointment for cleaning. I was mostly just waiting around. When I brought it up to the dentist’s attention, she said their business model is “always double-booking” so there would always be a wait, and “next time bring a book”. Then they tried to upsell me on the cleaning and dental work I did not need. The dentist said I need 3 crowns, 3 fillings and one extraction. I have since sought a second opinion and was told NONE of the work was necessary. Then I got a bill and a text about the X-rays which insurance covers 100%. When I called, the billing representative said they sent out the bill 2 days after my visit and it hadn’t gone through insurance yet. I do not need a dental clinic that 1. does not respect patients’ time, 2. tries to sell unnecessary work, and 3. tries to collect double money.
Well won’t be going back to this place again! I thought I found a great dentistry until today! New management is now charging $290 for a teeth cleaning of which I get every 4 months! Including a fee for office visit of $50 and didn’t even see the doctor. I guess they want to turn into an Aspen!!! Good Luck So it’s been 6 months and I have called the customer care center at least a dozen times and no response I tried calling the Dr Porter 3 times and no response or returned call. I guess they are satisfied with charging $290 for a 25 minute teeth cleaning because they can as I was told!
STAY AWAY from this practice. It use to be great. Now it’s all about the money and being rude to customers. Called twice today and Kristen hung up on us both times. Very unprofessional. Time for a new dental practice.
Stay away from these freaks. If you are using insurance watch out. I went there under fully covered by insurance for a cleaning. Nine months later I get a bill for an "adjustment". Sage is claiming they only received $143 of a $173 bill so they're hitting me up for the difference. They sent me a bill and several texts, one on a Sunday, to pay the $30 difference. I called their billing department and told them the cleaning was 100% covered and they needed to contact the insurance carrier, they refused. I can take this to the State Attorney's office as I contacted my carrier and was told Sage Dental was paid the full amount, $173, months ago. These people are extortionists. They know they should go back to the insurance carrier but they choose to harrass a patient (not a patient anymore). Besides the rip off, their service is horrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
