A cancer diagnosis rocks your world. You want a doctor who is well-educated, wise, and up on the latest treatments. But you also need one with a caring spirit who spends time listening to your concerns and answering your many questions. Dr. Townsend was both to our family during my dad's cancer journey. I thank God that she guided us on this journey and highly recommend her to you.

I am sooo blessed to have Dr. Townsend as my Keytruda IV provider, thank you for helping me to go to Port Orange for my monthly visits, so close to home. The staff at Halifax Hospital are so great, hoping to see them at Port Orange office.

Dr. Townsend and Dorey are amazing! My husband was in the hospital for over 4 months with complications from Covid- blood clots among other things and they were with us every step of the way, explaining and talking to us to ensure we were at ease and comfortable. They are definitely hero’s to us!!

I've had Dr Townsend as my medical oncologist for three years and would be extremely upset if I ever had to accept a replacement. I have never had a more caring and educated doctor in my lifetime(I am 67 years old)! I was just looking up her credentials and saw a less than perfect score and it makes no sense to me. I cannot say that the appointment schedule is streamlined but that is also a positive. I understand that she devotes the same amount of time to all of her patients(mostly sickly)! Because of this my appointment is a little delayed! If that is viewed as a negative then I think that your grading system is out of whack!

She is very thorough!!! She makes sure to answer all questions and doesn't rush through our appointments. I had a rare cancer for my age/sex/origin and she took it on full force! I saw her before every treatment and, when I was having an issue during, she was right at my chair. She is fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a hematologist/oncologist. The nurses in the treatment area are good, as well.
