William Mayfield's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mayfield was recommended to my neighbor who is not only a patient but worked previously with him in the O.R. The laminectomy he performed on me was a great success, however when I requested to become a private patient and help with remaining narcotics intervention, he float out refused w/o any explanation! ????

I had Dr. Mayfield several years ago until they changed my insurance but now I need to come back to him. I have an infusion pump and I need to have him adjust it. I have had 5 pumps and Dr. Mayfield put the first one in. I love this doctor and so did my husband when he was alive. I give him 10 stars not just 5. He is caring and has a great bedside manner. I had been experiencing debilitating pain for over a month as a result of developing a severe case of shingles. Typically, I wouldn't be someone that would seek out the help of a pain management physician because I prefer to have my faculties and not take medications that are likely to alter them. The pain became not only the worst pain that I have ever experienced in my life, it became too much to bear even with the over-the-counter options and the meds that my primary physician prescribed. I write this to the reader that may have similar concerns and debilitating pain to assure you that Dr. Mayfield and his entire staff are top-notch awesome! They were so sincere and understanding. I was given a nerve block in my spine and within hours can only shed tears of joy not tears from the overwhelming pain that I was in. I am beyond grateful and can't express enough thanks for feeling as though Dr. Mayfield and his staff gave me the relief I needed.

He explains all options and listens to his patients.

I have been a patient for about two years with Dr Mayfield. He cares first and foremost about your pain and he goes out of his way to get you pain free. His staff is amazing. He offers sedation to assure that you are totally comfortable during your procedure. I have had several injections and two ablations. He listens and offers his expertise to help you understand why you are having your pain. I would recommend him to anyone who is experiencing pain,back, hips, cervical.

I am shocked at your review. I don’t know what we would do without this wonderful staff. Maybe you were having a bad day. I know where you are coming from...when we are in pain, everyone around us is not hearing us. Believe me but this staff care about us more than any team. I was in a hit and run in 1985. At times we perceive things wrong. When we hurt, know ones else matters but us. We wish we were bleeding or at least black and blue so people would see it. I will defend this team to the end! I know what bad care is to compare it with. I pay for good care and not for personality. Although they have always treated me as if I was special.

After two years of suffering HORRIBLY with Neuropathy and having no quality of life and seeing at least 15 different kinds of Drs. that all told me that there was nothing they could do and I would “just have to live with it.” My husband found Dr. Mayfield. Dr. Mayfield is a GOD SEND! I had the surgery for the stim. trial a couple days ago and I feel so much better and I will be getting the permanent surgery next week. I didn’t think I could ever have a normal life again. I honestly didn’t know if I could even continue to live in constant pain. Saying Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough. This Dr. gave me my life back. How do you Thank someone for that? Not only is he a FANTASTIC Dr. but has a great personality and his staff are just wonderful.Holly that worked so hard to get me an appointment and Cindy that worked so so hard to get the right sensitivity on my remote control. They are ANGELS! The whole staff there is Patient and Caring and really want to make you better. So many Drs. these days just want to make money and keep you as a customer for life. Dr. Mayfield is not like that, he wants to “fix” you so you can live a normal life again. It breaks my heart to know that there are people suffering like I was and going from Dr. to Dr. and getting nowhere. We need 50 more Dr. Mayfields. I feel so blessed to have found a Dr. that knows what he’s doing and genuinely cares. THANK YOU SO MUCH to Dr. Mayfield and the whole staff. God bless you all for the work you do. I finally feel like I can have my life back.

Dr Mayfield took care of the pain in my back when I could get no relief from any other source. He is professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He answered my questions in a manor in which I could understand. I will and have recommended him to many of my friends and acquaintances.
