A Mohs procedure is to be precise removing the least amount of tissue. Her focus seemed to be expediency and a high success rate meaning that she cut – not scraped – well beyond the perimeter of the BC lesion above my lip removing excessive tissue. Even with reconstructive surgery by an exceptional surgeon my face could not be completely salvaged. If you are in a delicate area find a surgeon who is more conscientious or better skilled.

MOHS on the side of my nose bridge, just below my eye, was worrisome for me. Dr. Moorhead Dovre explained the entire procedures and what follow up would be done to prevent scarring. Her staff talked me through every step. Once the offending cancer cells were gone, the Plastic Surgeon arrived to determine how to correct the hole in my face. Talked through his approach, explained it step by step, multiple levels of stitching -- why it was needed. Instructions on how to care for the delicate work; and we were on our way home. I was very pleased with the level of care and the efficiency in this office.
