My husband and I recently had a change in insurance and wanted to find a medical practice where you could actually talk to a real person when calling in. Not only did we find that, we have seen both Dr.’s and absolutely love them. They are both kind, thorough, and they listened. The receptionist and nurse are awesome as well! We would definitely recommend this practice for anyone looking for a caring medical practice!
This doctor's address has changed. He is on Pond Ct. in DeBary. He is now practicing with his wife but unfortunately, just as with his wife's old practice, the staff is inept, not-informed and they don't know what they are doing. (That's because she brought staff members from her old practice with her to this new husband-wife venture). His attitude is pompous and condescending. Even when his staff does things improperly or gives out inaccurate information, he does not apologize. I would not ever recommend this practice. His wife was a fairly decent doctor, but it seems like they are still getting the practice up and running and struggling to get their act together. Even their website doesn't work properly.
He took over my previous Doctor's practice. I received a rx for my mammogram from the previous doctor, but due to getting my vaccination, I had to wait to get my mammogram done - a few months later the rx was deemed invalid because my previous Dr had retired. Dr. Mathura's office refused to send over a new rx without seeing me again. I couldn't get appts, it took me months to find a new Dr. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer recently. It could have been caught months ago if they had just issued the rx for my mammogram. That is bad practice
Great doctor - you can tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants to help. Don’t let the couple of negative reviews dissuade you. They were probably looking for oxy. If you want a down to earth doc that wants to help, give his office a call.
A great doctor and very caring I would recommend any family member to go and see Dr Mathura.
I was so excited to finally try a new Primary Care Physician my my family of 4 since moving to Florida. I made 3 appointments, double checked them with the receptionist, and wrote them all down on the same card. I just arrived EARLY to my appointment only to be met with a bad attitude and scorn that I was scheduled by her 40 minutes earlier. When I show her the appointment card that she and I did together she says, that’s not my handwriting!” No problem. We will take our money and great health insurance to a doctor that knows how to treat people with kindness and schedule an appointment correctly!
We booked two appointments for my mother one at a dentist which has great service and one at this new place because my mother is a new patient. The problem is we booked these appointments well before and they got the times wrong, my mother is I very great manager with time and wrote all the details for the appointment the front desk lady gave me and my mother attitude and just wouldn't let us come in even know we filled out our schedule together and was on time what a shame.
I was scheduling a annual check up and recently got unengaged from a woman, so I needed to do those checks as well. I went by the office after the phone system sent me a canceled apt and a appointment was on track for the 10/7/19. Well the appointment was not on track and needed rescheduled. Not a bid deal but stopping by I asked the nurses for assistance from the Dr and they (as I watched) never even asked the Dr his opinion. With comments(from the nurses at the front desk) we get this all the time with people calling in and asking to speak to the Dr , “we normally handle it”. He hardly ever takes calls or something to that effect (malpractice law suit just waiting there). So I went back up there again today and asked for the blood work to be done before the appointment( you know to save time, test takes days if not weeks to get back and well so I wouldn’t have to go for a second visit at the insurances company’s expense). I recently went in about 6 months ago for a check up and had to stop by and get results( they did not call to inform me anything as they talk on the phone with personal business and to each other) not up to par with Drs offices I’m use to. I will have to leave a bad taste in Tricare for Life’s office and Medicare about the kind of service this office is producing. Just so where clear the staff never talked to the Dr at anytime about me but they did stand right next to him and solved his practices without his knowledge. I’d look else where it’s just a meat packing plant in this office.

Very disappointed on office staff not willing to assist and they hung up the phone on me. Doesn’t bill patient correctly, as of yest have not been seeing by dr Mathura. Disappointing

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
