Anthony Miniaci's Online Review Report Card

I had an excellent result with a shoulder replacement. At home in Chattanooga was told my only option was a reverse shoulder replacement with no lifting, pushing or pulling over 15 lbs for the rest of my life. Dr. Miniaci did his replacement and I am 11 weeks post op, never needed anything for pain, have full range of motion, and have begun weight lifting again (lighter weights for now on the operative shoulder). I will have no limitations when fully cleared.

I am a competitive powerlifter with severe arthritis, torn labrum and bone spurs. I had a TSR. Honestly, it was not half as bad as I thought it would be. Just do what you are told. I am 15 weeks out and feel quite good and plan on competing at the highest level by the end of the year. Scar looks like it was done by a Hollywood plastic surgeon :-) Great experience!

I've had it. Each time I schedule a visit , I must prepare to be seen at least 30 minutes late. My time is valuable too and Dr. Miniaci has shown time and again that he doesn't respect it. Cold, uncaring manner on top of it. NEVER again with him.

I went to Dr.Miniaci for help with my shoulder . He did orthoscopic surgery to see if I had an infection. The anethiologist gave me a nerve block which paralyzed my diaphragm and 1 of my lungs was not working . Doctor Miniaci and staff,including the anesthesiologist that I saw after surgery,did not tell me this . I found out on the way home when I went to lay down and I could not breathe at all. I went to the ER and had an xray and 1 lung was not working .Dr. Miniaci and hospital staff should of told me .I could of died from their neglect.

I was referred to Dr Miniaci when he was in Toronto in 1999. Torn ACL. While I never met him until I was on the operating table, I understand that he used a technique that gave me a better chance at mobility and I literally walked (OK limped) out of the hospital. It is almost 20 years later and the knee is as good as new. Played basketball for another 20 years thanks to this man. Highly recommend.

My husband & I have so many wonderful things to say about Dr. Miniaci, his staff & my experience with him as a patient that I won’t have enough space. He performed my 3rd Right shoulder surgery in April 2017 and I’m so grateful to him. I’m right hand dominant so my condition(s) were destroying my career, my marriage, etc...I was suffering from chronic pain & disability. Dr. Miniaci performed a thorough exam, reviewed my prior medical records, performed the necessary diagnostics, explained my diagnoses, provided my surgical/non-surgical options in easy to understand terms and was very honest & forthright with what the outcomes could be. He included my husband & me in the decision making process. Dr. Miniaci was clearly intelligent, knowledgeable and highly skilled yet he retained a wonderful bedside manner. He actually cared about me, my pain, my mental anguish. My visits with him were not the typical surgeon’s follow up where you wait forever to see the surgeon, when he/she finally does come to the exam room the surgeon is rushed & doesn’t have time for your questions or concerns. I’ve NEVER had to wait to see Dr. Miniaci. He always enters the exam room with a smile & sincere greeting. He allows you to ask questions and to just vent. We need more physicians like Dr. Miniaci. I would not hesitate to return to him for additional treatment. Certainly, I’d recommend him to family & friends. (My husband would drive me the 6 hour round trip to see Dr. Miniaci if that gives you any indication how much we think of Dr. Miniaci. Columbus, OH has no shortage of physicians but we knew we needed Dr. Miniaci!!!)

My right shoulder pain & loss of function was destroying my entire life...jeopardizing my career, my marriage, relationships with friends & families. My 2nd R shoulder surgery in June 2016 was disastrous & only worsened my problems. I decided to try to search for the best, most appropriate physician as a “Hail Mary.” After thorough research, I found Dr. Miniaci. He performed my 3rd surgery in April. All of his extremely positive reviews are true & I’m a testament to his extraordinary skills.

I love Dr. Miniaci. He is so experienced, and he knows his stuff. He is ground-breaking in the research and surgeries that he's doing in the field of sports medicine. Can't get anyone better.

My experience with this doctor with anything but a good one. If you have been referred to the doctor I would immediately go back and request another one. Would not explain the reasons for decisions that he's making. Would not listen to my general concerns find another doctor and quick.

Great, thorough and thoughtful. I received excellent care for my knee injury. Would definitely recommend.
