Completely unequipped to handle and assist those with depression. Higher ups are ineffective and uninterested in helping people. The only thing this facility is good at is making mental health problems worse

Tara Alhadeff is an amazing therapist. She listens, comprehends and provides resources for her clients and their families. I have known Tara for several years and she is a genuine individual that treats everyone with dignity. Tara is helping my family find the best treatment options in order for our nephew to have the skills needed to navigate on his journey.

I had to give a star to leave a review but honestly I’d leave none. They offered me chamomile tea when I was in full blown withdrawals. Traumatizing. And I had to work as a part time chef and cook my own meals for me and my mentally incapacitated housemates. Woke me up at 6 am to take a walk in the parking lot- like what, I’ve already got my cardio in being at this place. They wanted me at the gym at sixth pounds. My first group the therapist asked me if I was a “banger”. Really vulgar. Staff is not nice. Doctor saw me for seven minutes a week. This place is BAD. Don’t go here. I still can’t sleep at night and am terrified of walking in parking lots.

I am in the medical field and worked with many of their patients. I was very impressed by their caring and professional staff, the overall program, everything about Life Skills. They are an asset to our community. They truly do teach life skills. I highly recommend referring patients to them!

Overcrowded and highly overrated. I spent three months at Lifeskills and have gained so much more at the new treatment center that I am currently at. Their PHP program isn't horrible but the residential staff is. I witnessed a Male staff member punch a female client, and that staff member is still currently working there today as far as I know. They seldom treat clients with any respect. Do your research before sending loved ones here.

its a huge scam don't go there

The admission person Beth decided to call me 2 days before (today) i check in to lifeskills to tell me that i need to pay 6k after she told me a week and half ago that my insurance was excellent and that everything will be covered. I have no time to start researching for a place again cause they overlooked it is not my fault and now my symptoms have gotten worse due to this issue and the lack of communication. When someone is seeking help, you are supposed to help them not overlook important information and spring it on the 11th hour when it will be difficult to find somewhere else to check in, because i don't have the 6k to pay up front she just tossed me to another company and gave me no other options. This would've been my 1st time and i swear that now i could care less about getting help if this is how these places treat people.

I have spent time with patients of Lifeskills while they were at the facility. Lifeskills does a good job of treating the entire patient whether its mental health and/or addiction. Additionally, Rabbi Gaines has been a critical member of the team and does a superb job of connecting with patients and helping them to strengthen their spiritual connections.

Lifeskills South Florida is a specialized private psychiatric facility with a team of professional clinicians who are skilled in addressing an array of disorders. Treatment for each client is individualized and tailored.

Facility is beautiful and so professional and really helped a family member get well.
