Dr. Bustamante is an excellent Endocrinologist. After years of being treated for my Thyroid condition in New York City at NYU Langone, I moved to Delray Beach Florida. It took me a while to find a qualified Endocrinologist, who is Dr. Bustamante. She knew exactly what blood tests I would need to have and to order an ultrasound of my thyroid. She went over the details of my past history which included a needle biopsy. She was quick to understand my condition how to monitor it. She is caring and explains things in detail. My daughter saw Dr Marcella Perez Bustamante and when she scheduled the initial visit was asked for her insurance information. I would note that the doctor was selected because she was in-network for Cigna. When she arrived she was asked for her co-pay despite the office KNOWING that there was no co-pay since the doctor was not in-network and again did NOT advise her that there would be additional billing as well that she would be responsible! This is not about patient care...this is about a BILLING MACHINE!! This is a disgusting business practice!

Dr. Bustamente is a breath of fresh air. She listened to and answered all my questions and concerns. I have had two appointments with her and she spent all the time I needed and would have spent more if it was necessary. She explained things clearly and has a pleasant and kind demeanor over all. Her staff is responsive as well. I highly recommend her.

She does not understand the concept of time!! She thinks is ok. to WAIT 5 months or more to make an appointment. Also her office NEVER explain the cost of their exams. They are way too expensive!!

No I would not

Doc Perez seemed a bit unprepared when i had my telehealth visit. She sent me for bloodwork and when the results came in i was to get an infusion for my Paget's disease a week or so later i received a message from her office scheduling a follow up visit for March 2021. It was only when i called and asked about the infusion did the doctor say she would call me the next day and let me know what office i was to go to for the infusion. I never heard from her. I called a few days later and was told she was on vacation. Now the asst is saying she will get a message to the doctor to get authorization for the shot. I suppose she is a good doctor but she has too many patients and is unable to give the necessary time to her patients. You have to wait months for an appt at UM regardless of the severity of your medical issues, and the billing is through the roof. After my infusion i will ask for my records and get another doctor not affiliated with UM

I have Type 1 Diabetes and I use a Medtronic insulin pump and their CGM sensors to help me keep my blood sugars in order. Dr. Perez was extremely knowledgeable about insulin pump therapy and I was extremely impressed with her. She was very thorough and also very nice!

She deserves no stars. She's an idiot. She knows nothing about treating the individual & is obviously in big pharma's pocket. Her approach to complex endo matters is negligent & borderlines malpractice. After transferring to her bc my endo specialist of decades retired, she took me off med where I'd been stable for decades, just bc she doesn't like it to put me on her preferred meds. .I,ve since decompensated. She refuses to speak w/PCP & other specialists re coordinating care.

Fantastic! Great doctor, very friendly, honest answers to questions. She is very effective in answering questions and relaying information. i look forward to visiting her again.
