He is very personable and I always feel that he is one of the few doctors that actually listens to you.

If you are looking for a surgeon I would NOT recommend Benjamin Thomasson or his "scheduler". My first experience at this place, I waited over 1.5 hours to be seen. Although annoyed, I have been in pain for some time and didn't want to have to find another doctor so I waited it out. After meeting him, still not a fan of his arrogance and fast talking. I did bring images with me, that the doctor was uninterested in and told me the issue could not be seen on an x-ray. He put in orders for me to get MRI, which I got done. I called to schedule follow up (didnt wait as long to be seen) met with him again where we discussed surgery but first I would need CT scan. He stated after the CT scan his wife Jessica would be in touch with me to schedule the surgery. I got the CT scan within the same week. I waited a 1.5 weeks and heard nothing. I called and left multiple messages with Liz at the front desk. (waiting at least 1 week in between calls) Liz said she can see the orders and she would leave another message for her. I expressed to Liz, that if the scheduler was waiting on the insurance company or authorization to please just let me know so I knew what to expect. Here we are going on 6 weeks and I still have not received a call back from the "scheduler". (for the record, the order for surgery was never even submitted to the insurance company as I called my insurance) People, file complaints with your insurance company, Medicare or whoever you have. Get doctors like this out of our network. If they were uninterested in treating me, they could have communicated so I was not waiting around for something they never intended to help with. I could have found another doctor and not suffered longer.

Called a week later, left another message with receptionist. Called and spoke to Liz the receptionist again, who stated she can see the orders and she would leave another message for her. He explained all my options where I can understand and was not rushing me out of the office or trying to persuade me to have surgery. Really nice and dresses great.

My father is Dr. Thomasson’s patient and also I had meniscus tear surgery with this fantastic doctor. He is knowledgeable and always explain the problem, procedures and treatment options. I feel so comfortable to bring my Dad to this office because I know he gets the best and up to date treatment. Also staff are so nice and helpful.

Had two different knee surgeries with Dr. thomasson and I’ve made full recoveries. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I’ve recommended this practice to many people.

The overall experience including surgery was barnone. I have never been so impressed with the level of service in any health situation. Dr. Thomasson is so thorough in explaining everything, very patient, good listener and advanced in his techniques for longterm results and to advocate for the patient first and foremost. His staff is so welcoming, explainitory, caring, friendly and respectful.

Dr. Thomasson performed hip replacement surgery. It displaced twice within 6 months of surgery. I found a skilled surgeon and had revision surgery.

Not a skilled surgeon. He performed hip replacement surgery and it displaced twice within 6 months. I had to find surgeon to perform revision surgery. I had doctor from his physicians group confirm the prosthesis wasn't placed correctly.

We’re so thankful to find an orthopedic in Oviedo with such extensive knowledge like Dr. Thomasson My husband injured himself in Montana skiing and was seen within the week when we got home as a new patient. From our first call to the office to scheduling to seeing Dr. Thomasson ... everything was done professionally and with ease, making this journey of rehab positive and less stressful. We are grateful!
