I have been with Doc S for 4-5 years now. He is NOT simply an addiction specialist, thought that is what I initially seen him for. He cares about MY entire health overall. He spends time with you. You don’t get that “doc runs in and out in 5 mins”. He LISTENS. He had figured out so many other things wrong with me. I have a regular primary doc (not him) and she will order pricey tests that confirm what he diagnosed, without those tests. Not saying testing isn’t needed at all, simile saying he listens and knows his stuff. He’s kind. His staff is superior to other medical office staff I’ve interacted with over the years. They too care about you. Yes he mainly deals with addiction but he still looks beyond that. I cannot say enough good things about Doc S. As long as you do as your supposed to with regards to addiction , he will be your biggest cheerleader.

I have found the best Dr he actually takes the time and listens to concerns you have he is so understanding and very compassionate also the girls in the office are great you can talk and laugh with them I feel very comfortable in this Drs office I would recommend him to anyone!!!

I was a patient of Dr. Schlapper for a couple years and he helped me in so many ways above and beyond what I originally went to him for. Sometimes, the office is a bit chaotic but as a patient of his, the least I can be is patient with him...

No, I would not recommend him to anyone. Very condescending and rude, he specializes in addiction medicine, so I expected at least some level of understanding for my situation...nope!

My husband saw Doc today! He was so understanding & he listened!!! He chose what was best for my husband & not about $$$! Gentle natured & very knowledgeable. Staff was great!

An experienced and qualified Doctor who takes time to listen. Since seeing this physician I have seen positive changes in my son, physically and mentally. I highly recommend.
