I’ve been on the same meds for 20 years with no problem yet he requires you to speak to him every 3 months and will allow you to go without these life saving meds until you speak to him. Anyone with common sense knows you can’t abruptly stop these meds without having a significant impact on your mental health. He won’t even give enough to get you by until you speak to him. His staff is on the west coast of Florida so if your in Miami, your SOL. Would not recommend this man.

My first visit I waited almost two hours for the initial consult. My follow up appointment I scheduled as his first appointment of the day. He showed up late, while I texted back and forth with his answering service to confirm the appointment (because I am waiting outside a closed building with no lights on). He said nothing about being late, and then had me wait another 15 - 20 mins while he "set up shop". Final straw was we had a Skype appointment that I scheduled mid December as I was trying to get a prescription refill before the end of the year, and our deductible reset. I logged in to Skype, and sent him a message I was there and ready. 15 or so minutes later, I sent a follow up message just asking for confirmation that we were good for the appointment, and then another message ten minutes after that. He finally responded that he was running 20-30 minutes late, and would be cancelling my appointment, and I would need to reschedule. I responded asking if I could get the refill as the meds would be $400 come January. He just responded again that I would have to call his office number and reschedule, and made no more responses after that. I called the number immediately, and left a voicemail (there is never anyone to pick up). A few days later I left a follow up voicemail, and sent a text. No response. At the end of the week, I texted again and got a response that they they would "pass the reminder on to him again". Two weeks have passed with no additional communication, and we are now in the new year. He could not show any more lack of concern or care for his patients.

Multiple attempts to reach him have been ignored. Very difficult to communicate with, and doesn't care about his patients.

I took some time and read through these reviews and I honestly can not believe the great reviews this Doctor has received. Our experience with this man was horrible! He failed to return text communications and simply ignored our calls. He prescribed a medicine that needed prior authorization and never followed up with the insurance to provide them the information needed by him in order for our insurance to process. He left us in limbo never communicating. I would never recommend this Dr. especially to anyone with mental health issues. He becomes part of the problem. Very unprofessional!!!!

Dr. Gessesse is extremely professional. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He listened and provided great feedback. It was a pleasure to be seen by him.
