Edda Casanova's Online Review Report Card

From the 1st time I entered the office I knew deplorable was a generous description, never met a doctor so uncaring, so unconcerned. My son lived with his mother & saw this (redacted for censorship reasons) for years. Once he started living with me I found him a better doctor immediately! She had my son on the same medication & dosage w/zero adjustments for over 5 years. Her 15 minutes are asking a few questions w/o looking up from her paper ZERO feedback, signing the prescription & saying good bye. Not asking if he was having ANY issues on the meds, school, life, and when I brought up an issue he was having it was shrugged off with "IDK". My son couldn't sleep, he told her...she shugged and said it was "his problem" to "figure it out", good bye. Read the reviews online lots of 1 star reviews. Oh, asked me once if I was still drinking. I'm allergic to the stuff, I asked why she would even ask that. 'I thought you had a drinking problem' & handed me my sons Rx, no apology, nothing.

Between the lack luster office staff, and her complete lack of compassion for her patients it is a wonder she is still in business. Look on other sites her reviews are a lot of 1 stars for a reason. I don't use this word easily, but she is a quack. Don't send your children to her. As soon as I got custody of my son I immediately found another doctor for him. As a medical coder I have never seen a doctor like her and hope I never do again.

I was very hopeful at the beginning of the session as the doctor did a very thorough intake and history to assess my daughter and leave people with mental . However at the conclusion of the session the doctor said that she isn't going to prescribe anything. Instead, she prefers natural methods like ashwsganda and therapy (therapy that she is already doing). I explained again that the reason we are here for an appointment with a "psychiatrist" is to get prescribed medication for my daughter's mental health which is not improving with therapy and that we've tried many natural remedies over the course of 10 years. She said she was not comfortable prescribing medicine to juveniles (17 years old and 9 months) and apparently she feels that it's irresponsible to prescribe anything. Well I think it's irresponsible to not prescribe something. I also think it's irresponsible to suggest herbal remedies and other methods that were already tried over many years. I could have went to Facebook.

Dr. Casanova has no idea what she is doing and shouldn't have ever been allowed to practice on children. She petitioned the court (AND WON?!?!) to prescribe and force me to take a medication I was allergic to just months before turning 18. The "adverse reaction" I had 3 years earlier was a super fun suicide attempt. She, like all of the troubled teen industry doctors, believes overmedicating and isolating traumatized children will make them act normal out of fear of punishment while overlooking very obvious disorders like autism or PTSD.

My family sees Dr.Casanova .All three children . We feel that we finally found a doctor , that is kind , yet firm at the same time . She listens to the children !!! She even took the time to call and try to find a good counselor , for my teenage son .

Dr. Casanova is an amazing doctor for my children. She is very knowledged and attentive. I've been to many doctors for my son, specifically, and she is the only person my son has ever liked. She is stern when it comes to treatment due to the severity of mental health in general. If you miss appointment she will no longer see the child. If you want your child being seen by an amazing doctor, you need to be serious about it and stick with treatment, she won't let you down.

not helpful at all. completely blows off every problem I have brought up and says, "you're okay" when I'm not okay at all bc she isn't helping

Dr Casanova is very attentive and knowledgeable. The staff at Saafe Behaviorial in Ormond leaves a lot to be desired. They are rude and unprofessional. For some reason, despite numerous complaints, the same staff remains. Make sure your children get their heights, weights and blood pressures done at every visit. The staff won't automatically do it but it should be done.

While the doctor seemed nice enough,her staff was very dishonest and rude. office waiting area was dirty and dingy
