Dr. West takes as much time as the patient needs to be fully informed and comfortable with future procedures and tests. He includes the spouse and welcomes questions to be sure the family is fully informed.

I was admitted to the emergency room with chest pains. Dr West was assigned as my cardiologist. He instills extreme confidence; shares needed information and is encouraging while one goes thru the testing & diagnostic process

When Dr Oscar West came to see me in the hospital he was absolutely the rudest doctor I have ever met in my life. He Belittled me and scolded me and lectured me for no reason whatsoever.He gave me absolutely zero information on how to treat my conditionHe did absolutely nothing to help me.He speaks such bad English that we could barely understand what he was sayingso we figure he probably doesn't know what we are saying.He is absolutely evil taking the insurance company's money and doing absolutely nothing for the patient except to verbally abuse themI went home from the hospital and went to see my primary doctor who put me on the correct medication and now I am fineno thanks to dr. Oscar West.Do not waste your timeor your moneyor your health on this doctorHe will not help you.!!!!!!!!!I have spoken to many other people who have relayed the same information

Dr. West is great as is his nurse and the back office staff including the imaging teAm. They are very patient and kind. Dr. West listens and spoke directly to my father which was very respect and I was greatful for that as so many doctors speak to the children of elderly patients rather than directly to them. He calmed my father’s fear and did the appropriate testing to confirm the suspected diagnosis. The only downside to this office is the front desk team. They are rude and not very helpful..when you call you are either put on hold or the line is busy. They act like they are doing you a favor there is a lot of sighing and eye rolling and it is very poor service to the patient and does not represent the awesomeness of the rest of the team. This is the only reason I can’t gice the highest rating.

My father is seeing Dr. West and for the last couple of apointments I have been attending with him. Dr. West has been in his field for over 35 years. With that said he has seen and experience a lot. I find him to really listen to my father and I (something that is hard to find). I noticed he also takes his time to consider what he is going to say. He is respectful but also willing to point out differences in opinion vs facts (which is good). I am still sitting on the fence at this point for an over the top or poor rating. I do think he probably is a very good Dr. ON the other hand there is nothing and I mean NOTHING I like about the staff. They have been kirt, disrespectful, not compasionate and what mostly gets me — Unorganized and not timely. I really dislike how this office runs. I would love it if they pulled in an organizational company that could train them to be proficient and their jobs.

Very pleasant, knowledgeable gentleman. Patient with my father who is hard of hearing and somewhat reluctant to "hear" what the doctor is saying. Would recommend him with no reservation.

Tired of almosy always having my appointments cancelled and arbitrarily resheduled by office staff. I want my records ASAP so I can find a new cardiologist.

Who ever heard of a specialist using a wrist monitor for checking blood pressure. This might be passable at a nursing home, but not for a heart specialist. If you weren't sent to see him with a specified problem, they aren't going to be looking for one! You be better off monitoring your medicines and there effects yourself. If you are of age, hopefully you'll have a loved one assisting you.

Dr. West is the best doctor I know. I have seen him for 6 years. He was able to diagnose me with a condition that many doctors don't know a thing about. I've been living a healthy, full life since that time. I recommend him highly.
