List of Alan Gomer's Reviews
Worst service ever from a doctor's office. Try calling in on a Monday or Tuesday! Wait till Wednesday when the lines get answered in a reasonal hold time. On a recent appointment the receptionist who checks patients in was outside., up on the corner, talking on her cell phone and I waited 10i minutes for her to return. The phone menu is limited so I learned quickly just to hit the button for an appointment. This office cannot get enough workers and lately there has been a turnover in staff.
Standing here to pick up a prescription for a walker for my mother in law 93 and the female at the window said can’t find it blah blah . Then she said to me don’t cope an attitude.
Great doctor great
DR. GOMER IS WHAT EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR IN A PHYSICIAN. HE ACTUALLY LOOKS AT YOU, SPEAKS TO YOU, LISTENS TO YOU!!
Have been trying for two days to make an appointment but nobody answers the phone or calls me back after I leave a message...does this mean Dr. Gomer is no longer practicing. I was wanting to be a new patient.
Needed a letter for insurance purposes stating my condition. His office actually charged me $10. Cannot believe it. This was after I had to call 8 times for 2 weeks to keep requesting it. Very difficult to communicate with people in this office.
My experience has been positive from my first call. New to the area I asked a medical professional friend who her pcp is. That doctor wasn’t taking new patients but the staff person asked me a few questions about what I was looking for in a primary provider. Together we came up with Dr Alan Gomer as a good fit. When I met him I felt comfortable that We made the right choice. He interviewed me about my health and I interviewed him about his background and practice. He was down to earth easy to communicate with and he listened to me and anticipated some of my concerns. I feel confident that I will have my health care needs well covered.
I've been a patient of Dr. Gomer for at least 20 years. When you need your annual check up or you are sick with a cold he does just fine but should you need any further treatments or tests he goes missing in action, doesn't return my (the patient) calls or my insurance companies calls. It's like a slap in the face and very insulting. Not to mention the way his office staff spoke to me on the phone when I called to follow-up about an MRI that had already been canceled on me twice due to his lack of communication and understanding. I will be seeking another doctor and would suggest anyone else considering him to do the same. It's a shame to have to leave this review but unfortunately it's the honest truth.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
