Better Addiction Care's Online Review Report Card

I am completely appalled with a specific nurse.  Her name is Toshina Jimenez aka TJ.  She uses profanity towards myself and other patients and she is 9 times out of 10 late. I have a professional job to go to and because of her lack of professionalism as far as arriving in timely manner I have been late to work. I have also been kind to TJ as well. I have been coming to this treatment center for well over a year. I am on a fairly high dose I cannot just find another clinic. Toshina Jimenez aka TJ treats me as if I am some piece of trash off the street. She has a lack of empathy. I have also noticed her interactions with other patients which have also been subpar.  I am also in the medical field. I have never in my life observed any nurse behave like this. I do not understand  why Toshina Jimenez aka TJ has not been reprimanded for her behavior by Kerri Heegeman whom I was advised was the director of ARS Delray Beach. I do understand that there is a stigmatism attached to addicts and former addicts. This could possibly explain Toshinas behavior. The is inexcusable.  Ive tried to reach out to other staff in regards to Toshinas behavior but her poor  behavior towards myself and other patients continues on. I hope someone that works for this clinic reads this and maybe can get this situation rectified. I also plan on filing a formal complaint with The Joint Commission JACO along with The Florida Board of Nursing. Also how is Toshina a Licensed Practical Nurse and not a Registered Nurse according to her public LinkedIn page that went to South Tech Academy which is a terrible school a Nursing Supervisor at this place? You would think they wouldve hired someone with more credentials.  It boggles my mind.

This place is horrible. They dont follow any of the state and federal regulations for their licensing. I wont go into detail but theyve been reported and will be under investigation in the near future

This clinic put my wife on methadone in spite of knowing that she takes 4 mg of Xanax per day has a problem with alcohol and only has one kidney. It is their own policy that patients are not to be on benzos in conjunction with methadone. When I brought this to their attention and said that I would sue should anything happen to my wife while under their care they decided to put me I was also a patient there on administrative taper for seven days. This is extremely dangerous and against medical protocol. When I requested to speak with the medical professional overseeing my detox I was told that administrative taper has nothing to do with the doctor and that this was being done outside of medical directionsupervision. I have both audio and video documentation of that statement along with numerous others. I was a patient for over a month and a half. They never did bloodwork or a TB test as they are required to do within 24hours of intake. They also put me on methadone in spite of only using pharmaceutical grade opiates for six months when the criteria is a year. They increase patients doses by 5 mg per day from the day of intake not even giving your levels a chance to accumulate and most patients are on upwards of 190 mg which is insane. To put it into perspective just 50 mg is enough to kill a nonopiate tolerant individual. They increase your dose happily every day but adamantly object to any requests for a decrease. My wife and I were also given a grant in spite of the clinic being aware that I make in excess of $100000 annually simply because I took some time off. They dont offer counseling in spite of patients being assigned a counselor that they see for five minutes a week. They are in violation of numerous federal and state regulations and I have reported them to multiple entities governing the licensure and operation of methadone clinics in Florida. Please steer clear if you care for your treatment. I am in the process of taking legal action against this clinic and have already retained an attorney to represent upon the outcome of the investigations being launched

Hello my name is Joey. The 1st thing i would like to say i know that it can be very scary walking into one place. No matter how many times you done it. I have been in treatment a long time and to a lot of places like this. If its your 1st time or 7 time and you are  looking for the best place.      STOP LOOKING Because every other place there was always someone or something that would make me feel less than. As soon as i walk in the girl at the front desk said to me hello how may i help you with a big smile.She was so kind and helped me a lot. Next i went to speak to a nurse. The 1st thing she did was smile and make me feel very relaxed and took her time with me she was a real pro. Next thing the Director walks in and introduces her self to me. WOW so polite to me.Next i needed to see the DR. he made me feel at Eas right away. He wanted to know how my health was he was a really nice man. Then i went up to the window to get my dose again a woman with a smile says hi how are you ? Then took care of me. This is the only place like this that made me feel like i was welcome and did not look down on me because i was a drug attic. To the owners you really have done very well. I want to thank everyone there for making me feel like a good person.If you need help you must check this place out. Take it from someone thats been around and knows what im talking about. Here is were the staff really cares about you

free subs  free methadone  free therapy  this place has a free grant but they wont tell you that  that. beware of the male therapist he violated my hipaa rights by introducing me to this nut kelly a patient that he claimed she who would not jeopardize my recovery and just holier than thou and 100% safe to take me to his catholic class  next to the county jail. next day i was on the phone with her while she was meeting her drug dealer yet he publicly humiliated me in my 1 on 1 which without notice or permission  ever  had  2 unstable people the other one said that a little bit of stress would make him smoke crack so he violated all our hippa rights because none of us knew or were advised upon going to our 1 on 1 session  that he would jeopardize us all but i am the only one smart enough to and they tried to discharged me  clean and sober because methadone wasnt working for me for me bc the owner is really dumb all of them the  nurse awful they all lie except Susan demand Susan the most experienced one  as your therapist if you just want methadone go john or the young one they dont care about  and let you slide if want to make progress in your recovery Susan is your only chance at hope. you are just a number and its free people tell them they have funding from state agencies  and are robbing people blind. i left against medical advice before the deal i made with the investigator about the unethical  inexperienced preacher that if he wasnt gone i was suing and within minutes they asked me if i would like them to prevent from suing one more time lmao and to see if i wanted them to try to insult my intelligenceThe Nurse is a vindictive bully she told me she was the judge and the jury of that place and falsely accused me of sending emails for which were requested by the investigator and they were not even addressed to her but to Caty the director so to complain about a multitude of which she requested and the investigator re quested yes they add up and I got red flagged. Not only that she insisted  see the free psychiatrist after her false allegation she had a bad attitude because she was defeated by what i knew and invented a tall tale. Just get thru admissions and ignore.   Due to the situation with the Preacher who is no longer allowed to give surrmmons too who I made very clear is straight wrong to treat addiction  but he loves to talk about sex was still there i was going to sue they lied and he is very much counseling people probably without a license I will see as I am going to proceed due diligence to proceed on filing for the multitude of civil rights violations

I have been coming to access recovery for a little bit over a year now. The whole staff all the way up the ladder has always been very respectful and friendly to me since day 1. Even when people are not so friendly the staff stays in composure and continues to be respectful at all times. The place is also very clean surprisingly for a place in this industry. I now have 1 year clean with the help of this program and the free therapy that is offered and my life is great now. So thank you access recovery and all the staff.

There is not a better clinic in the country. If youre serious about getting clean and wanting to change your life this is the place to do it. Every staff member that works here cares  professional and they want to help you. This place has saved my life. I successfully completed the program here after 2 years. I know if I went to any other clinic I wouldnt be where I am today. John Carrie TJ and Camile are AMAZING. The other staff members are as well but they are who I dealt with weekly. This clinic has almost no riff raff they treat you like a human being and not a number like every other clinic out there. If you want to get clean do yourself a favor and come here.
