List of Christopher Cortes's Reviews
Dr. Cortes has wonderful bedside manner and his staff are so pleasant! Excellent Dr and staff!
My mother was treated for with antibiotic drip and encountered complications from treatment creating delusions. After placing multiple after hours calls to their service no one called back. This is a known side affect of drug but practice doesn't respond to patients after hours calls in a responsible manner. No one called in 36 hours period after initial after hours call. A doctor has a responsibility to follow up if an adverse reaction is present from medication prescribed.
I saw Dr. Cortez on an emergency basis and he could not have been nicer. He listened to my history, ask pertinent questions and recommended an intelligent, logical course of action. I was very very impressed with him
I would urge anyone who may be considering Dr Christopher Cortes, or have been assigned to Dr Cortes by the hospital, to immediately seek a new infectious disease specialist. Do your own homework on him. Cortes' track record is absolutely awful. Being placed under his care is like a death sentence.
I had the pleasure of being treated by this very knowledgeable Dr who knew exactly what was happening in my case above all others. I trust him with my life and will rely on his skills for any future issues. You can trust Dr Cortez to take care of you - I highly recommend him.
I think he is the most amazing and caring Doctor in this world. I am highly allergic to most antibiotics, and he found one that worked for me. He came in to see me and I was crying over the terrible care and treatment I was experiencing in Delray Medical Center Hospital. He immediately found a Nursing care service and arranged home care and IV treatment for me and sprung me from the insane inefficient useless excuse of a hospital. His care was terrific and I trust him with my total health. Do not hesitate to put your faith in Dr. Cortez he will take great care of you.
Very caring and professional. Explains everything in detail. Highly recommend
Hospitalized pt with Covid, Dr said you have Covid pneumonia, no treatment needed unless you are on a ventilator in ICU
I was given this practice as my doc by delray medical center, in july 2020 after getting a staph infection in my spine, A picc line was put in my arm to deliver 6 weeks of antibiotics at home. Called doctors office a few times during treatment with questions and to make an appt only to be told by clerk in office that he doesnt take my insurance I would have to pay for visit. Most people would have to problem with that but living on 850.00 a month,(60.00 after paying rent) i do have a problem. SO fast forward to last morning of 6 week treatment, my visiting nurse, lab company and myself called dr and was told the same thing. Since there is no further orders for treatment and no order to have picc line removed I had to remove it myself. About 6 hours later they called and said i should come in and would overlook charge. Well i went even though there was no reason to, picc line was out and i had no medicine left and no order to continue. At Appointment nothing was done. No blood work to check levels, no tests, just how do you feel see you later bye. Fast forward 4 months and infection in spine is back. Told staff i needed a doctor my insurance covers and they gave me the same practice which doesnt take my insurance. So another picc line and 6 weeks of iv antibiotics at home with a doctor I can't see or talk to on phone. This time when I called thee clerk said " yeah i know all about your income. This is a business you cant expect the doctor to work for nothing" No! But i do expect to be given a doctor I can actually talk to and see . They knew they dont take my insurance but took case anyway when there are many doctors available who do take my insurance. made calls to transfer my case to a doctor who does take it but noone would take a case for a patient who already has a picc line. So I guess I will be taking picc line out myself again. I am disabled, not my fault! Not my fault i had to raise 4 special needs kids and couldn't work enough to get a higher disability check, but I deserve to have quality care that everyone else gets. Not thrown to the wind and disgarded like trash by a money hungry doctor who doesnt care and takes cases he knows are not covered. i don't know who's fault it is that twice i was given the same doctors i can't use but I do know who suffers because of it, ME.
Excellent Physician & Specialist. Takes time, honest, and finds antibiotics fast.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
