Firstlight Home Care Of The Gold Coast's Online Review Report Card

This is the worst place ever!!! My husband and I got an aide from First Light for my aunt, the aide(s) that have come to her apartment is not helpful to her at all. The aide just sits there as the time passes, pretty much doing nothing to help my aunt. When my aunt called FirstLight Home Care The Gold Coast to explain that the aides they were sending are not helpful. She spoke to Helene who was really nasty, so my aunt asked to speak to the manager. Helene then put her on with a person named Chris, claiming to be the owner. Well, let me tell you if he's the owner he should be ASHAMED of himself the way he spoke to my 92 year old aunt, raising his voice with such disrespect, Chris's wife Ruth is no better! The fact that FirstLight Home Care The Gold Coast deals with disabled, and elderly. These people should have more compassion and patience and learn how to speak to people. Not be nasty and bully their clients as Chris did with my aunt!! He should be ashamed of himself!!! I can only imagine how they speak to people who cannot speak up for themselves. If you truly love the person that needs good aide. **** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! ****

I am a physician and I can say with experience that Chris is absolutely outstanding! I'm not sure there's a better, more talented person in the country, let alone Florida. Chris knew and helped with every little detail, coordinating and expediting home health aid care so that it could be provided on a couple day's notice so that when my father is discharged from the hospital it would all be set up, contacting social workers, physical therapists, on and on. I will not send my family members to anyone else, but CHRIS! Nonpareil!!

Truly LOVED the family feel of First Light Home Care (FLHC) . Chris & Lisa Ruth were always present for both of my parents, especially during the last year of their lives. Married 69+yrs, our parent taught us the true virtues of all things good. They were always with us guiding us down the right paths. My Dad was the Rock of entire family. He coined words like: •Backstop •Giver •Wavelength.... Mom was •Fun •Creative •Gourmet Cook. Our families to have such nice incredible role models are & truly blessed... We met the owners of First Light Home Care (FLHC) in the twilight days of my dad & Mom’s years on this earth. Being out of town, Chris & Lisa Ruth, owner at (FLHC) became my parent “Go To”. Example Dad ran out if gas on Federal Hwy on a Sunday... & called Chris. Both stopped everything to help. Chris to help Dad with the car& Lisa sat with Mom until Dad home. My Mom was a worry wart. This was above and beyond. But, we can’t forget their staff: Wow- all I can say it was wonderful and always friendly al still is today! Mom’s main care giver Samantha became family. She took care of my Mom with such a tender touch. When I walked in the door from the hospital to tell Sam that Dad had passed; it was like telling a sister. We cried together. “Sam Sam” had become family. You see, we had spent holidays together •Christmas’s •Thanksgivings •Birthdays or just a simple walk or drive to the market. Sam was always there for my Parents. She helped Mom with the loss of Dad which so hard. Then Sam was there for Mom- what a rough road. to travel. Now Sam is there for me- I can continue- but I all leave you saying, Thank you to much First Light Home Care, Thank you, Chris, Thank you, Lisa, Thank you FLHC Staff Thank you Samantha (Sam Sam I LOVE U) Sincerely, Cathy Hadd

My wife and I went to FL to visit my Mom in Boca. Once we got there I realized what I had suspected for a while was getting worse and I needed a solution to keep my mom safe. We can only travel to see her so often and its just not enough so I looked into FirstLight. They were able to come up with a strategy that I was happy with and more importantly, my Mother is happy with. She gets the attention she needs and I don’t have to constantly worry about her from far away. Win win!
