Larissa Zaulyanov Scanlan's Online Review Report Card

I just went for my first visit. The office is old and dingy which made me feel like I am set back to the 50's. They have old newspaper articles framed on the wall in regards to Nazi invasions etc...I felt very uncomfortable in this office being German. When I mentioned to the staffmember that I requested Dr. Zaulyanov for my first appointment which I asked for specifically ahead of time the day I made the appointment, which is important to me, I was told it is with a PA. The woman at the frontdesk has long dark hair and is in her 50's or so and very rude! I walked out and would have walked out even if Dr. would have been available. The newspaper articles on the walls and the dingy office gave me a really bad feeling.

Still 7 weeks later, pain, no healing, just a huge scab not even where surgery area, but must have clipped something she was not to have. Have to go to wound care Dr, states I might have scab for 3 months and unsure of the viability of the tissue underneath and might have to have another procedure. If so that should be charged to Dr. Scanlan, never said I could experience anything like this and it was on,y basal cell. Think twice about doing this. If you want to have an active life, this restricts you and your appearance of a butchered ear is not pleasant.

I was recommended by my Derm for Mohs surgery for basal cell on my ear. Dr Scanlan never consulted with me as to my options or as to time of healing. I have had over 6 weeks of pain very little healing and now having to go to wound care Dr who said I will have this huge scab on my ear for at least 3 months and even then might not be healed properly. Poor patient consultation and results to expect. The company sated to be associated with does not exist in Florida State Dept of businesses. Cannot get in touch with her due to lack of professionalism by receptionist. Very poor experience find another dr so you are not butcher like I was.

She was excellent in my treatment, absolutely excellent, relieving me of my anxiety, it was my first Mohs treatment, and her staff are all 100% kind, caring and informative making my treatment much easier to get through. Everyone was helpful from making my initial appointment through the follow up appointment next week. I can not say enough about my care except that I wish all my medical experiences were handled as well as this one was… THANK YOU all !!!

I had a surgical procedure performed yesterday by Dr. Scanlan. She and her nurse Amy could not have been any nicer or more personable. Both were very friendly, professional, and comforting. I felt very comfortable during this entire procedure. I will return in two weeks for another procedure and I am not one bit nervous about this.

No question, the best around in cancer dermatology.

Dr. Scanlon is a caring, sensitive extremely qualified dermatologist and surgeon. She listens well to your concerns and gives excellent opinions based on her kknowledge and education. Her approach is an honest and conservative one. Aging is a gift, but looking old is optional. Dr. Scanlon will help with the process!

Dr. Scanlan is a fantastic doctor. I was very nervous about my procedure but she explained it so well that I was calm throughout the entire episode. I felt like she was holding my hand though I know otherwise. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient. She has a wonderful staff working for her. I felt very comfortable the minute I checked in. I would recommend Dr. Scanlan to everyone I know.

Dr. Zaulyanov-Scanlan performed MOHS surgery on my ear after getting back the results of a biopsy. She and her staff are both friendly and skilled. They, especially Dr. Zaulyanov-Scanlan, explained what was happening and put me at ease. They gave me detailed instructions before I left. The surgeon has an excellent manner with patients. I recommend her to anyone with concerns or questions about their skin, especially, as in my case, about sun damage.
