Shahida Bashir, Md's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient for several years and Dr Bashir has helped me recuperate from several episodes of pulmonary problems. Dr Bashir has a warm bedside manner and listens to the symptoms you are describing and acts accordingly.

Over the past few years, I have encountered numerous doctors while my mom navigated life after her stroke. We faced countless hospital stays, experienced moments of frustration with doctors who seemed to give up, and engaged in a relentless fight to secure the best care for her. A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Bashir during my mom's stay at Select Specialty Hospital. From our first interaction, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable and attentive but also deeply compassionate. Although we ultimately had to say goodbye to my mom, I am profoundly grateful that she was in the care of such a kind-hearted doctor. My family and I will always appreciate the dedication and empathy you showed. Thank you, Dr. Bashir, for everything.

TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

GREAT PULMONOLOGIST and SLEEP MEDICINE DOCTOR! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shahida Bashir and her amazing assistant, Malvina, yesterday. Prior to the appointment, Malvina took the time to obtain important details relating to my request for an appointment. She was extremely kind, compassionate, professional and conscientious. We arrived at the office where we were greeted by Malvina, who was friendly and extremely efficient. She performed basic lung function tests and was in the process of obtaining additional information when Dr. Bashir walked in. We were not kept waiting at all which was very impressive. Dr. Bashir spent a very long time with us, allowing us to provide information about what has turned into a complicated case. She graciously answered all of our questions and took the time to explain what needed to be done in order to properly assess the situation and come up with the best possible treatment plan. We were never rushed, which was truly amazing. VERY IMPRESSED!! I know we are in great hands with this team!!

Don't know what this is. Dr. Bashir is wonderful. Very professional and knowledgeable. Ordered tests I needed to have that no other Pulmonologist ordered. Her Medical assistant, Malvina was very kind and compassionate made me feel comfortable right away. She is very bright and knowledgeable. She explained the tests she was giving me in terms I could understand.

Friendly, knowledgeable Friendly, knowledgeable and takes time to explain and answer questions. Staff friendly and efficient. My prior pulmonologist no longer accepted my insurance so I saw Dr. Bashir to supervise my CPAP treatment. I had occasional dizziness so she ordered some tests.

All I can say is, get a second opinion before having anything done.

Terrible visit. Most uncaring and rude doctor I’ve ever met.

At the time we saw Dr. Bashir, she appeared to be running a one person shop. We arrived on time for our appointment, but the office was empty and locked up. I called the office number, and caught Dr. Bashir in her car, she was running late. She arrived 10 minutes late, let us in, and locked the door. No one else was in the office, she was tracking appointments and taking temperature, blood pressure etc. When we left, the next patient was annoyed and waiting outside the locked door. With the lack of resources, it came as no surprise that the CT Scan she ordered was not filed properly with insurance. We showed up for the scan, only to be advised our insurance had not yet approved. We had to delay this critical step for an accurate diagnosis a week till this was all cleared up. We lost valuable time. I would advise not to use her to best avoid these type of preventable missteps.
