Dr. Shapse is great Doctor. However I had a hard time with his staff, as they didn't send my medical records in order for me to get a biopsy done after weeks of waiting. They aren't professional at all!

Dr. Shapse might be an Endocrinologist but he is NOT a General Practitioner. If you need a Referral his Office is totally unreliable! I have an HMO and referrals are very important. I recently had to cancel my appointment even though I called every day for a week and left messages.

Doctor did not respond to multiple calls, my father had an critical medical situation and his office manager simply said "just send him to hospital", without ANY calls directly to my father...this was over a 36 hour period. NOT ONE CALL BACK Thankfully, we found an emergency services paramedic who was willing to RUSH over and check on him...

This outstanding physician has been the biggest part of my health care team for 20+ years. He has been encouraging, positive and always patient with me and my diabetes. He has stood by me through many health challenges and still takes time to answer every question and review every medication. The doctors doctor never answers the phone. The front desk clerk is completely clueless and extremely rude. The doctor doesn't seem to be up to date with his practices and does not take any patient concerns seriously. Also the doctor does not take the time to answer patient questions fully. I've been to him several times and everytime I left I was more confused walking out of the office. The first time I visited I told the front desk clerk I hadn't been to my primary in a while and wanted an annual check up. She never told the doctor and they were refusing to give me a physical. This office is horrible
