My husband is a patient of Dr. Bodendorfer and likes him. After I went on medicare I waited 5 months for an appointment. My error was waiting until only 1 week before my appt. to take my insurance card in. His office does not work with my insurance company and does not accept self-pay if a patient has insurance. My medicare advantage medical savings account plan does not have networks or PPO’s. If a provider doesn’t work with the company, members are advised they can self-pay and submit receipts to the company for reimbursement. I am happy with that setup, unfortunately Dr. Bodendorfer’s office is not. Now I need to go to Gainesville for cataract treatment. The staff at Dr. Bodendorfer’s office was very pleasant and efficient and my husband likes him a lot.
