I love this doctor! Would recommend to all my friends and family! Don't sleep on Optum!!!!

After some bad experiences with other doctors, I finally found Dr. Kowal. She takes time to go over the results of your bloodwork, listens to your concerns and make recommendations that are practical and easy to understand. When my husband and I came down with Covid last year, I called her office to get Paxlovid. Her medical assistant called me back to tell me Dr. Kowal would not prescribe Paxlovid for me because I took Eliquis for a heart disorder. My husband, who also takes Eliquis, called his doctor's office and immediately got a Paxlovid prescription called into his pharmacy. I'm glad Dr. Kowal took the time to assess the possibility of the drug interaction for me. I think she is a knowledgeable and caring doctor.

This doc requires you to commit to unnecessary medical tests before she will even meet you for the first time. The office cannot be certain if the tests are covered under insurance and instead want you to call your insurance to see if they are covered. And her office staff likes to not return calls.

Dr. Kowal is one of the most experienced and kindest doctors I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was always tentative to my concerns and always made me feel like I was taken care of. I dont know why some of these reviews are negative and of course, I dont know their situation but their experiences are dispraportionate to what Dr. Kowal is like. I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends in fact I already have.

Dr Kowal took time to answer all my questions and made sure that she fully explained everything. She us so kind and made me feel really comfortable. She is the most thorough doctors I have ever met. I would definitely recommend her.

I love this doctor and her staff ! They are so attentive to your needs and super responsive . Her bedside manner is THE BEST and she is very thorough in her exams. I recommend her 100% and the awesome staff is just the icing on the cake ! If you are looking for a great doctor then definitely give them a call!

If you don’t care about yours or your loved one’s health, then by all means go and see the most inexperienced “doctor” in the area. In 10/2020, took my then 69-year-old mother to be seen because she was experiencing symptoms of confusion, decreased appetite, and agitation to be told my mother was at end of life and should be entered into Hospice. Believing this so-called doctor was knowledgeable I listened and was also told by Hospice that she was in fact at end of life and there was nothing I could do, since she had 6 months or less. I finally took my mothers health into my own hands, stopped hospice immediately because they were just pumping her up with morphine and phenobarbital since again, she was “at end of life” and rushed her to the ER and she had a raging UTI and was in acute renal kidney failure. The ER was in shock that this doctor didn’t even check my mother for a UTI which is extremely common in the elderly. Needless to say I switched doctor’s and this office had the audacity to leave me a voicemail asking why I left their practice. Long story short, here we are June of 2022, my mom is now 71 and can still walk and eat on her own but cognitively she has declined. I have fought for almost 2 years to get her the help and get us the answers we need and finally today we were told she has Hydrocephalus which is often confused for Alzheimer’s/dementia which if caught early is treatable. All this could have been prevented if only this doctor cared and took the time to actually investigate issues and concerns instead of dismissing the elderly. So again, long story short, if you don’t care about your loved one or yourself, by all means spend your time at this office with the most inexperienced medical staff in Florida.

My experience with the staff at Isabela Kowal MD is not satisfactory, I am in pain with an ear ache and asked to have a video chat with Dr. Isabela Kowal MD, and told by staff and case worker to go to urgent care. spole with shannon mention my ear is beginning to hurt, and the bottom of the area where my ear is located is very very tender to touch can I schedule a video chat with my primary doctor to discuss with her instead of being tossed from one office personnel to another so that I may speak with my primary doctor who is Dr. Kowal, and was told NO if I did not like it then It would be my choice to get another doctor, or go to an urgent care facility. Then the Case Manager hung up on me. I have visit the doctor and have been a patient of this office for several years. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT DR. KOWAL allows her staff to treat patients like that. It's like they do not care if you are in pain, and do not want to be bothered. I WANTED A VIDEO CHAT WITH MY PRIMARY DOCTOR AND THE STAFF WOULD NOT ALLOW THAT O HAPPEN. Its like the staff is deciding what is going on with the patient instead of my primary doctor. I am not one who takes any medicine, but know when there is an issue going on, and I am never allowed to have a video chat with my own doctor. What's going on here why has happened to this office that is so insensitive to a patient. And why hang up the phone on a patient because of requesting a video well needed conference with their doctor. I just wanted to speak to my doctor not the case worker or the office staff. The case worker Andra needs to be more understanding maybe this is not the right job for this person, if you treat patients like that hang up on them and do not allow them to schedule a video chat with their primary doctor. I AM MORE THEN POSITIVE THAT DR. KOWAL DOES NOT KNOW HOW HER STAFF IS TREATING HER PATIENTS. SINCE WHEN IN LIFE IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR - THE STAFF DECIDES YOU CAN NOT. WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT THIS PAIN TURNS INTO A MAJOR INFECTION WHICH COULD OF ALL BEEN AVOID IF I WAS ALLOW TO VIDEO CHAT WITH MY DOCTOR IN STEAD OF THE CASE MANAGER OR OFFICE STAFF.
